London Stansted Airport is gearing up for its busiest summer ever! ✈️☀️ An estimated 4.3 million passengers are expected to take to the air over the school holidays, with an average of 97,000 passengers predicted to pass through each day. Passengers heading away from the airport this summer are reminded to familiarise themselves with the current security regulations to ensure a smooth start to their trip. London Stansted Airport passed the rolling 29 million passengers a year milestone for the first time in its history following our busiest ever June on record! ✈️ During the month of June we welcomed 2.8 million passengers, an increase of 8.3% on the same month last year. We also recorded our first ever 100,000 plus passenger days, with more than 100,800 passengers passing through the terminal on 28 June. The unlikely coexistence of an extremely rare flower and a busy international airport might seem surprising ✈️ However, in woodland very close to London Stansted Airport a thriving population of Oxlips is helping the National Trust in their work to save this endangered flower from extinction. 🌳 Priory Wood is home to several of the yellow flowers that are found only in small parts of East Anglia. Summing up an incredible month of Pride at our Airport! 🌈 Throughout June there have been many activities taking place here at London Stansted Airport, as we continue to celebrate Pride. 💜 We raised the Pride Flag outside Enterprise House 💙 Roadshows were held across the Airport with multiple different teams 💚 We held space for staff members to share stories and hold valuable conversations. 💛 There was a dedicated learning lunch held on teams featuring Dr Christopher Owen. 🧡 Regular posts were shared via our internal online platform, Viva Engage ❤️ Pride activities were displayed on colleague TV screens How did you celebrate #PrideMonth? ✈️

London Stansted Airport welcomed a record-breaking 2.7million passengers last month, thanks to a bumper half-term holiday week, it was our busiest May! ✈️ ☀️ 97% of our departing passengers passed through security in 15 minutes or less. May also saw the return of British Airways, with new summer services to Ibiza, Nice and Florence. Just touched down in Satellite Two with Selecta, introducing our latest offering, an unmanned food & beverage retail unit - the second of its kind in a UK Airport ✈️ We are excited to team up with Selecta to offer our passengers this convenient and innovative grab-and-go concept. London Stansted Airport's Retail Director, Stephen Martin, had the honour of cutting the ribbon as we celebrated the launch of the new unit on Tuesday. 🎉

It's been a week since #WorldEnvironmentDay!
