Continuing to make Sutton a great place to live, work and raise a family.
About us
Sutton Council's vision is to build a community in which all can take part and all can take pride. This vision encapsulates our community based-approach and commitment to addressing quality of life issues and inclusiveness. Our five core values reinforce the vision and provide the underlying context to the way in which we do our work. The values form the acronym PRIDE and show how we are: • PEOPLE-FOCUSED - Better together: We work collaboratively with colleagues and partners, recognising that everything we do is for the benefit of our residents. • RESPONSIBLE - We think for ourselves and take initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do. We consider options carefully and make judgements, and then we take ownership of our decisions, knowing the risks. • INNOVATIVE - We think creatively, look for solutions and solve problems. We are always looking for new ideas, learning from our own experiences, each other, and the best in the world. • DIVERSE - We are passionate about everyone having the best opportunities. We carefully consider the impact of our decisions, and we always seek to act fairly. • ENTERPRISING - We take advantage of new opportunities and manage risk effectively. We work with the market and with the community to make the best use of public resources. Customer Care We aim to give the highest standard of customer care to all members of our community. When contacting us you can expect: • Staff to acknowledge you, be courteous and give their name and their service area; • Your dealings with us will be treated as confidential and we will tell you if the information you provide is to be used for any other purpose; • All of our staff will try to resolve issues at the first time you contact us; • All of our staff will communicate clearly according to your needs; • Our performance against our targets to be published on our website www.sutton.gov.uk

Have your say on plans to improve walking and cycling routes from #Belmont Station to the The London Cancer Hub #Sutton 👇 Thank you to everyone that joined us at the consultation event at the Innovation Gateway yesterday. It was fantastic to hear from people living and working in the Belmont area. ⭐ Our next event takes place tomorrow at Harris Academy from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. Please drop-in to find out more about the proposals, ask the team questions and share feedback. 💡 Share your ideas and feedback here: https://lnkd.in/eCmPinqY Why is this work important❓ The London Cancer Hub will soon become the global centre for #cancerresearch. This will create thousands of jobs in Belmont - and we're making plans so that people can travel safely and easily in the area. Network Rail are doubling the number of trains from central London to Belmont. To help people travel from/to the station we're improving the walking and cycling routes.

The London Cancer Hub will soon become the global centre for #cancerresearch. This will create thousands of jobs in Belmont #Sutton - and we're making plans so that people can travel safely and easily in the area. Network Rail are doubling the number of trains from #London to #Belmont. To help people travel from the station to The London Cancer Hub, we're improving the walking and cycling routes. This includes improving the path, adding seating and lighting, installing signage, a zebra crossing and much more. We want to make sure people living and travelling through Belmont can have a say on these changes, including the way the route will look in the future. Share your feedback via our consultation and help design the Belmont of the future: https://lnkd.in/eCmPinqY
