Our Community Interest Company Litegreen Foundation CIC has launched a new initiative to help voluntary sector groups in Wrexham. #WrexhamEnergyAction has been actively providing free feasibility and viability studies for community buildings to help assess their energy needs and support carbon reduction. Additionally, they are offering training on carbon literacy, energy efficiency, and ways to reduce carbon emissions, available to both staff and beneficiaries. This support is designed to help voluntary groups and third sector organisations reduce costs, strengthen funding applications, and thrive! They're still looking for participants! 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 #𝗪𝗿𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲!  Just like us, our bike theme is #EnergyEfficiency, and here’s how we’re showcasing it: ☀ 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫: Our wheels are sticker-bombed to represent the sun's rays, with a solar panel attached to the front of the bike too. #Solarenergy is one of the cleanest sources of energy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reliance on fossil fuels. This clean, free energy lights up all the bulbs around the bike, supporting the bees to light up! These represent the natural environment and how it can benefit too! 🌬 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲: Our windmill at the front symbolises the incredible power we can generate from the wind. Wind energy is one of the fastest-growing energy sources in the world, capable of powering millions of homes without producing any #carbonemissions. ♻ 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬 & 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠: The bike frame is sticker-bombed with 'green' images and slogans promoting eco-friendliness, such as reuse, renew, recycle, carbon neutrality, waste reduction, and protecting wildlife. Using renewable resources and recycling materials helps reduce waste, lower #energy consumption, and decrease #carbonfootprints. If you see our bike, let us know what slogans you can see, our favorite is "𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐫" 🐏 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: The seat is insulated with natural sheep's wool, a #sustainable and #renewable resource that is fast becoming more popular within in the housing sector for insulating walls and lofts. Wool is an excellent insulator, providing warmth and comfort while being biodegradable and eco-friendly. #Wales is leading the way for obvious reasons! Local community groups, charities, schools, and businesses have come together to transform ordinary bicycles that would have gone to landfill. This year’s parade aims to promote community spirit, well-being, and advocate for environmental sustainability and sustainable transport.
