Congratulations to our intrepid team of fundraisers for tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge for The Care Workers Charity ❤️

Lifeways Group CEO Andrea Kinkade has written to the new Health Secretary, Wes Streeting, outlining six key priorities that Lifeways feels the Government should focus on to put social care on a sustainable footing for the future. Our 'six asks' are below, but you can also read Andrea's letter here: https://lnkd.in/eM9z7qUY One of our asks is that the regulator has more resources to help drive excellence in the sector... apt given today's publication of the independent review of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) which identified significant internal failings which are hampering its ability to identify poor performance at hospitals, care homes and GP practices.

On Saturday, we proudly joined #PrideInLondon! For the first time, members of our newly-formed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council were there, alongside Karen Roberts, RNLD, Queens Nurse (second from left), our Head of Health & Clinical Governance. This year 2024 also marks the very first time nurses from the social care sector have joined in.
