The difference between creating an innovative solution, and transforming healthcare in the 'real world', often comes down to scale. From trust and behaviour change to regulatory hurdles, the apparent barriers that could hinder the widespread adoption of new technology were widely discussed at HLTH Europe this year. For more about the key themes covered in this inaugural event, and whether HLTH Europe belongs in your 2025 calendar, download our digest here: https://lnkd.in/eW9iMS35 #HLTHEurope #Innovation #ThinkFurther
There is no shortage of innovation in healthtech. Yet creating an innovative solution and it making a difference in the real world are two very different things. “Some companies will show you a list of 1,000 AI tools they are trialling in various areas, but the question is, what and where have you scaled?” Johnson & Johnson’s Chief Information Officer, Jim Swanson told his audience at HLTH Europe. “Without that, you aren’t really moving the needle.” Adoption and scalability were abundantly discussed in Amsterdam. To find out more, download our digest - a snapshot of the great, the gaps, and the opportunities that HLTH Europe holds for you: https://lnkd.in/eW9iMS35 #HLTH #HLTHEurope #Pharma #Innovation

There is no better way to kick off the week than by celebrating success at the Communique Awards. 'Saving a Place for Patients', our drive to place patients at the heart of a phase 1 investigator meeting, was a standout winner in the 'Excellence in Global Education Meetings / Stand-Alone Events' category. This project shed light on a clear, unmet need. While clinical research sites play a vital role in trial recruitment and retention, historically, investigator meetings focused on the science, data, and procedures - rather than how best to communicate the trial to patients, and support them through consent and participation. Central to 'Save a Place' was the experience of people living with moderate to severe asthma, which resonated with attendees and Communiqué judges both: "The storytelling was brilliant, and it was a really important topic to improve diversity in clinical trials," commented the judges. "They put patients at the heart of the whole project, which was fantastic." #CxHealth #ClinicalTrials #SiteEngagement #Pharma
