Harnessing the power of our people. At Kier, we're breaking down the barriers of the recruitment process - it's about creating an environment that's accessible to every candidate. That means developing a new careers site, introducing enhanced accessibility features and being open to feedback on where we can do better. 💡 Hear more from Paul below.
Attracting brilliant people to work at one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services companies
Recruitment isn’t just about filling positions; it’s about building an inclusive and accessible experience for candidates. At Kier Group, our commitment to inclusivity is woven through all of our recruitment processes, people, and systems. Here’s a few ways that we’ve put that commitment into practice: 👉 We’ve developed a new careers website, designed with a candidate-first mindset with eArcu. It puts people at its heart and reduces potential barriers, significantly increasing our successful application rate. 👉 We’ve incorporated a leading accessibility tool UserWay.org into our site, allowing users to customise the experience to their preferences. It’s been used over 60,000 times in the past 12 months - that’s a big impact. 👉 We know that we can always improve. That’s why we regularly survey successful and unsuccessful candidates to capture their experiences and learn from them. There’s more to do and still progress to make, but these are a few of the ways that we’ve been able to develop an award winning experience for candidates, recently recognised at the Onrec recruitment awards. See what other steps we’ve been taking on our website below. #inclusion #constructionrevolution
