  • “I left sixth form college at 17-years-old feeling confused about what I wanted to do. It wasn’t until my mum suggested looking into NHS apprenticeships that I finally found a sense of self-worth and commitment to a career. Being an apprentice allowed me to find my feet and have scope to try different things to see what route I wanted to take forward." • Sheep-farmer Ed Lovejoy, from Tenterden, felt in pretty good shape when he went along for his routine health check. Little did he know, his cholesterol was dangerously high. Ed said: “I’m so pleased I got that check; I only went because an adviser was at the cattle market I work at each week,  "It was so quick and easy without the need to book an appointment. I wouldn’t have got around to going to my GP, having someone where I was working was great, it’s a really good service.” Read more and find out how to get your health check in Community Health online, link in the comments or in our bio.

  • Members of our Postural Stability Team got together today to discuss a course they run for people who have balance issues or falls. The course includes showing people how to build strength and how to get up from the floor if they've had a fall. The team talked about making the course the best it could possibly be, encouraging people to complete courses and making it easy for people to get in touch. You can find out more about our Falls Prevention Service on our website. Find the link in the comments below 👇
