Recruitment... It kinda looks like this: Identify the gaps in your team. Define the job role. Define the person you need (skills, competencies, qualifications, etc.) Decide when you need to make the hire. Put a job advert out and ask around. Sift through applications and make a shortlist. Contact the shortlist. Run pre-screens for early assessment. Give feedback to all. Facilitate 1st stage interviews. Decide internally who you like and who hasn't made it. Give feedback to all. Facilitate 2nd stage interviews. Ensure hiring managers are aligned. Give feedback to all. Get references. Make an offer and hope they accept - expect some offer negotiation here. Either they accept (hooray😆) and now you need to decide on a start date and onboarding. Or they don't accept (uh oh😭) and you're back to square one. And this is a very, very simplified version of a recruitment process. There are a whole lot more variables to manage. 💪 And in between all that you're doing your day job. 💼 Now imagine doing this over and over for multiple vacancies. ♻️ Sound exhausting? 😴 It does because it is.
