Our Hackney site hosted a very special collab between Up Collective x TERN - The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network this week ahead of their 'Test My Idea' event. 📍 The event offered TERN refugee entrepreneurs the opportunity to explore and unveil their food business ideas for the first time at the Shoreditch Exchange. It was amazing to chat with those taking part whilst they prepped their delicious food concepts in our shared kitchen. 🧑🍳

Run, grow and transform your foodservice delivery business from our beautiful and flexible commercial kitchens.
About us
Karma Kitchen is an independent UK operator of delivery kitchens, backed by leading private equity real estate firm Crosstree. We transform underutilised industrial sites into thoughtfully-designed commercial kitchen units. We provide flexible workspace to start-up, SME and enterprise businesses across the foodservice industry looking to prepare, manufacture or deliver food more efficiently. We provide a range of services, including kitchen porters, community managers and top-of-the-range equipment. The team behind Karma Kitchen are the same team behind Karma Cans, the lunch delivery company. Gini and Eccie founded Karma Cans in 2014, making fresh healthy salads for offices around London. They've built two kitchens for Karma Cans and they understand how important it is to get operations right early on, to leave you the space and money to grow and transform your business.

This week we hosted both Nanny Bill's and The Athenian in the shared kitchen at our Bermondsey site. Both restaurant partners were there as part of Deliveroo's The Open Kitchen - an initiative to tackle the issue of underrepresentation of the LGBTQIA community in the hospitality industry. 🌈 As part of the event, aspiring chefs from the LGBTQIA community were invited to take part in a masterclass before cooking signature dishes that were available for delivery on the app. 🧑🍳 It was amazing to see so many people ordering and supporting this cause! Big shoutout to our internal team for this one 🙌 Jodie Grant, Roberto Sparta & Giulio Loreggian

Yesterday Karma Kitchen ran an 'innovation simulation session' with 20 experts in hospitality to discuss how disruptive infrastructure can help businesses🏃♀️ Run🌱 Grow 💫 and Transform. (Gavin Adair not at all sorry to have put you in the hot seat!) Takeaways 🥡 🥤 ☝ Scaling is a choice and as you scale your value proposition changes. ✌ Brands that 🎯 hone in 🎯 on key aspects of the value proposition, grow faster and more effectively and in a more focussed way. 🖖 Infrastructure is and essential part in the focussed delivery of these core aspects of value proposition. Businesses using disruptive infrastructure like Karma Kitchen each have very different propositions. The thing they all share: ✅ They get what parts of their brand are most important to their customer journey right now ✅ and they are maximising those parts of their brand A big thank you to Oxford Brookes University for hosting us as part of the Hospitality Innovation Day, supported by the Department for Business and Trade and the Hospitality Sector Council. This day was one of connecting and learning about how the hospitality sector is transforming to meet the varied demands of it's customer and overcome the challenges in continuing to serve them.

Our very own Jodie Grant showcasing the naturally lit communal area at our new Wimbledon site 🙋🏻♀️ We build our sites with these open collaborative spaces at the core to foster community amongst our partners. It's an ideal space to hold tastings, meetings and to relax. Speak to us today and find out more about our unique design approach 🤙

Eccie featured in Katy Balls's Women with Balls podcast last week alongside Anneliese Dodds MP and Jo Overton, discussing how Britain can back women-led businesses. 🦸♀️ We're proud to be female-founded and led, and even prouder to have created communities at our sites that foster growth for female entrepreneurs in the F&B industry. Go give the The Spectator pod a listen! ⬇️

When a journalist at a national newspaper reaches out and explains he's interested in doing an investigative feature on one of your sites, many providers would be feeling the pressure. 😬 But we're not 'many providers'... We pride ourselves on our bright, colourful, and welcoming commercial kitchens. So we were delighted to have Tom Haynes from The Telegraph down to our Bermondsey location last week. 📍 We're on a mission to create communities that our partners love to work from and it's amazing to see this recognised in the piece. Go give Tom's and Eccie's thoughts a read below!

Location, Location, Location. 📍 We always run proprietary analysis on the demographics, delivery market and foodservice landscape of each one of our locations before purchase. So it's no surprise that our Wood Green site is loved by our partners. 😊 We have a limited number of kitchens now available at the site, so drop us a message if you'd like to find out more!
