Our previous fellow Dr.Arti Elhence took home the first place for her poster presentation on digital remote care at the recent World Congress of Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus World Society of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (WSPOS) meeting! This was a global event with 1400 over delegates from 60 nations. FIRST place was no mean feat considering she was competing against the rest of the world! I'm very chuffed for her. She was a brilliant presenter as always. It was also amazing to catchup with her now that she's back on the other side of the world. It is a privilege to be able to work with paediatric ophthalmologists from around the world. Ultimately, it was also fantastic to see our digital transformation work recognised at a global level. 🥳 Alder Hey Children's Hospital Alder Hey Innovation Isla Health

“I can no longer go to play Star Wars with my friends because you are coming in three times a day to do my insulin.” This quote is from a patient newly diagnosed with diabetes. It illustrates some of the challenges of adjusting to a chronic illness, such as the loss of independence and the resulting impact on quality of life. In our recent Health Tech News webinar, self-management specialist Stephanie Lowen discusses how clinicians can restore some of that independence by adapting care plans to be more personalised, without compromising on patient safety. As Steph puts it, “You can’t deliver self-care without personalised care.” 🔗 Watch the full webinar here: https://hubs.la/Q02HqMsh0 📖 Or read the write-up: https://hubs.la/Q02HqQq30 #NextLevelHealthcare #Webinar #RemoteCare #HealthTech #SelfManagement

Reducing complexity is at the core of what we do. Our expert team works to streamline and simplify remote monitoring, benefiting both patients and clinicians through the automation of timely administrative tasks. The Isla platform achieves a 92% patient response rate by reducing these unnecessary obstacles. Clinicians can send forms or visual data requests to patients via an easy-to-use web-based link, eliminating the need for app downloads or complex logins. We are excited and honoured to be selected for the MassChallenge 2024 US Early Stage cohort! 🎉 Our CEO and Co-founder, Peter Hansell, and Director of Delivery, Gabrielle Cohen, recently traveled to Boston, where they proudly represented Isla as one of the top 128 companies out of 1300 applicants. It was a fantastic opportunity to network with so many driven entrepreneurs. There were also many inspiring keynotes; among the highlights was Andrew Bialecki’s insightful founder journey with Klaviyo, which provided valuable insights for our own journey. Everyone also enjoyed a fun-filled evening watching a game of baseball, courtesy of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. ⚾ Special thanks to Jessica Davis and Gaurav Manchanda for organising such an insightful event. We’re grateful for the opportunity and look forward to driving growth, fostering collaboration, and leading innovation as part of the #MassChallenge cohort 🚀 #Accelerators #HealthTech #NextLevelHealthcare #Innovation

75% of people should have cancer ruled out or diagnosed within 28 days of an urgent referral. This is the NHS’ ambitious yet essential target, set out in their 28-day Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS). Meeting this standard is vital for improving patient outcomes and enhancing the efficiency of cancer diagnosis and care. Leveraging digital tools can significantly speed up the diagnostic process, reduce waiting times, and enable patients to receive faster diagnoses without the need to travel for specialist appointments. This brings essential care closer to home, making a real difference in patients’ lives. A huge thanks to Dr Sandy Anderson for this lovely feedback. We’re always touched to hear about the positive impact that Isla is having.
