About us
IPPR is an independent charity working towards a fairer, greener, and more prosperous society. We are researchers, communicators, and policy experts creating tangible progressive change, and turning bold ideas into common sense realities. Working across the UK, IPPR, IPPR North, and IPPR Scotland are deeply connected to the people of our nations and regions, and the issues our communities face. We have helped shape national conversations and progressive policy change for more than 30 years. Through rigorous research, analysis and public dialogue, we improve understanding of the issues and make impactful solutions workable. Our work builds on analysis and recommendations to shift the policy debate and create a new consensus.

🗳️ | NEW BLOG: Who voted for Labour and what do they want? This new blog from Harry Quilter-Pinner and Steve Akehurst discusses the results of our 20,000 person MRP survey and finds that voters who put Labour in government are more united than many think. This gives Labour a bold mandate to deliver, especially on areas that unite their coalition of voters. https://lnkd.in/eKaA3tec

Our thoughts on the Labour manifesto... First of all, it is encouraging to see so many IPPR ideas in there. Including key proposals on: 👷♀️ Green industrial strategy 🏥 NHS appointments 👶 Childcare 🌍 Devolution But the challenge is enormous! From tackling NHS waiting lists to rebuilding an economy that benefits people across the country while taking us faster and more fairly towards net zero, there is a lot to do. If Labour forms the next government, IPPR stands ready to offer further practical proposals to help deliver the missions the party has set itself, and to overcome the deep policy challenges the country faces.
