It's Plastic Free July! 🐢 At Central Services, we made the change to glass milk bottles last year and have not looked back since. Glass is 100% recyclable and can be endlessly recycled with no change in quality. ♻️ They're not only recyclable but can be recycled endlessly without losing quality. Small changes like these make a big impact! Learn more about the benefits of using glass. https://lnkd.in/ehzt-Yzq #PlasticFree #GlassBottles Plastic Free July Recycle Now
We had a great Lunch and Learn session yesterday hosted by Leanne, Service Manager at Our Way Leeds about LGBTQIA Youth. 🌈 We spoke about young people's experiences of 'coming out' and whether that has changed over the years. We discussed Section 28 and the impact that the new Government guidance could have on young people. 📰 Our Way Leeds supports young people who are at risk of homelessness. In the presentation we discussed homelessness and young people who identify as LGBTQIA . 🏘️ We learnt that 61% of young LGBTQIA people felt frightened or threatened by the family they were living with prior to becoming homeless. The session ended with a discussion on what we can do to be more inclusive in services. We looked at making offices and spaces more welcoming and inclusive with Pride flags, rainbow lanyards and open conversations. A few colleagues mentioned role modelling and making sure young people don't feel they are alone. 🏳️🌈❤️ It was a great opportunity to come together, share knowledge, ask questions and look at ways we can be more inclusive and supportive to our young people. Thank you Leanne Rivers! It's #SouthAsianHeritageMonth. 🥳 We spoke to colleagues about the theme of 'Free To Be Me' and what that meant to them... ''Being able to be my authentic self, especially at work.'' ''Not having to play different roles around different people.'' ''Being comfortable to be myself.'' We love having these conversations and learning about each other. Every one of us has been on an unique journey, with moments that have helped to shape us. These experiences have taught us lessons and helped us grow. We look forward to hearing more stories this month. #FreeToBeME #SAHM South Asian Heritage Month Kulveer Khatri Hafsah Islam Sunpreet Chana
As the excitement of the Euro 2024 begins to dwindle, it is important to remember the impact football tournaments have on domestic abuse cases.
