Introducing Samiya Syed 👩🏫 Samiya recently moved from the UK to Portugal, joining the Inspired team in August with a drive to make a meaningful difference in education. “I’m still new to Inspired having moved from the UK to Portugal in August. The onboarding experience has been fantastic, and I’ve been connected with other people who have moved here to teach, so I already have a new friendship group and feel part of a community. Meet Tina Cakarne, a remarkable young talent and one of our Nsouli Scholars 🌟 Tina embarked on her journey at King's College, Latvia, this September and has quickly settled in. She is already thriving in her new environment and embracing the opportunities ahead. Her academic journey is marked by her dedication to learning and an impressive range of achievements. From securing top positions in mathematics and language Olympiads to ranking among the best in national competitions, her passion for learning is undeniable. Beyond her academic success, Tina’s love for dance shines through. As a competition dancer in show, contemporary, and acrobatic styles, she has consistently won awards alongside her dance team. Her journey in dance began at the age of 3, and today, it plays a pivotal role in her life, helping her build confidence and resilience. Reflecting on her next steps, Tina shares: “I am incredibly grateful and excited about this wonderful and life-changing opportunity. Spotlight on Student Achievements in South Africa ✨ 🎶 Katleho from Reddford House Blue Hills has made history as the first African to perform a Baton solo on an international stage. Recently awarded her Majorettes Protea colours, she played a pivotal role in securing a silver medal for her team at the national championships. 🥋 Mahiya from Reddam House Umhlanga is set to compete at the prestigious Gichin Funakoshi Cup in Japan this October. A dedicated martial artist with numerous accolades, she received her Honours Blazer from Reddam House Umhlanga in 2023 for her outstanding contributions to the sport. 🎵 Yafei from Reddam House Durbanville excelled as a finalist in the Hugo Lambrechts Concerto Festival and secured 2nd place in the Johann Vos Competition, competing against Grade 12 students. 🐎 Kaitlyn from Reddford House Northcliff demonstrated her skills in horse riding, winning a gold medal at the South African youth championships as part of the Pony Rider 60cm Gauteng Team. 🎹 Amy from Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard has completed the Trinity College of Music Initial Exam and won the title of best overall entrant in the Grade R-3 category at the Concours D'Arts 2024. 🏏 Mika from Reddam House Waterfall has been selected for the Gauteng Lions Under 11 Girls Cricket Team, showcasing her emerging talent in the sport. #InspiredEducation #StudentAchievements #SouthAfrica #PrivateSchoolsInSouthAfrica
