A little Monday lunchtime provocation to all the Category Management folks out there… 📣 🔮Category Visions🔮 Widely accepted as a required thought leadership piece and a critical experience to have worked on during a Category Management career…. …And yet, my perception is that the ‘how’ is rarely discussed, meaning that the prospect of building one can be potentially daunting.🫣 But that’s just my hypothesis. 💬What do you think?💬 Tell me in the POLL ⬇️📊and join me and a host of other experts on Tuesday 1st October at IGD (Institute of Grocery Distribution)’s Evolving Category Management event where I’ll be unpacking some learnings to hopefully illuminate your thinking on the subject! 💡 https://lnkd.in/eBv9UTEU #IGD #CategoryManagement #insights #FMCG Eve Crump (Whitehead) David Warren Claire Bradbury

Today, IGD is proud to partner with Co-op on the retailer's Trade Briefing - a significant event that sees suppliers join with the Co-op leadership team for a full day of strategic updates and opportunities to connect 👏 👏 Today also signifies the announcement of changes to the Co-op's Apiary Programme, which will enable small suppliers to work with Co-op at every stage of their brand journey. The successful Apiary programme, was first announced at the IGD Co-op Trade Briefing back in September 2021, and this year, will see its third wave of suppliers hit shelves in the convenience retailers stores in towns, villages and cities across the UK after coming through its Incubator programme. For the first time, Co-op will also operate an Accelerator alongside its Incubator with 10 innovative purpose-led suppliers forming the inaugural wave of participants. Rebecca Oliver-Mooney, Co-op Head of Commercial for Drinks, Frozen, Community Buying & the Apiary, said: 'This is an exciting development, the addition of an accelerator scheme to our Apiary means we can work with small suppliers at different stages of their journeys. We are passionate about driving range diversity and supplier inclusivity, and we look for purpose-led suppliers who share co-operative values.'
