About us

ieso is the UK’s leading digital mental healthcare and therapeutics business. Its core product offers AI-powered, therapist-delivered, digital cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). With a growing network of 600 fully qualified therapists, ieso serves more than 20 million adults through the UK National Health Service (NHS). By analysing over 500 million data points contained in the world’s largest outcome-linked mental health dataset, ieso’s AI and data research teams are decoding the active components of therapy and enabling ground-breaking approaches for digital therapeutics (DTx). ieso is now developing new digital therapeutic products that will support the transformation needed in mental healthcare.       The results are in! 🚀     In our latest research study, ieso's AI-driven, human-supported digital CBT programme showed results comparable to traditional human-led therapy for generalised anxiety when benchmarked against NHS patient data.    Requiring up to eight times fewer therapist hours per patient, the ieso Digital Programme, currently in pilot phase, aims to increase #access to high-quality care, freeing up therapist time and enabling them to reach #more people in need.    The study of 300 volunteers with mild to severe #generalisedanxiety showed:     📣 82% of participants who used the programme for up to nine weeks had a clinically meaningful reduction in anxiety symptoms (GAD-7 decrease ≥4)   📱 The digital programme was better than a matched NHS waiting control, and showed comparable effectiveness to a matched group that received 1:1 therapist-delivered CBT  ⬆ Even those with severe anxiety benefited from marked improvements  🔎 Participants saw notable improvements in day-to-day functioning and anxiety reduction was sustained at one-month follow-up  💚 94% of participants valued having a therapist available if needed, and appreciated the human support to keep them motivated    For further details on the study, “Combining AI and human support in mental health: a digital intervention with comparable effectiveness to human delivered care” conducted by ieso in collaboration with the NHS and NIHR BioResource, click here: https://lnkd.in/eFmG-g-K    We’re excited by the potential of this #newtechnology to increase the availability of high-quality, evidence-based care, and to offer #morechoice to those seeking mental health support globally.    Check back here as we continue to share study insights.

June 28 marks the International Pride Day in a month where we celebrate but also acknowledge and raise awareness of the issues affecting the LGBTQIA community. Pride is a time of acceptance, compassion and love, and we encourage you to prioritise your mental health so that you can feel like your authentic self.   At ieso, we notice a higher percentage of individuals identifying as #LGBTQIA seeking help from us, compared to other talking therapies average percentage. People tell us that our typed and video therapy feels unbiased and confidential, particularly for those who may struggle to verbalise their feelings.   If you're experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress or worry, get in touch with your GP or click here to find the NHS Talking Therapies services available in your area: https://lnkd.in/dcaQ9MgG   Our ieso clinical team have put together some of their thoughts on how to practise self-care and prioritise mental health. This week is International Men's Health Week, a time dedicated to raising awareness of men’s health, including their mental well-being, and to urge all men to seek help for any health concerns they may have. According to the Samaritans, suicide is the leading cause of death for men under the age of 50 in the UK. Sadly, many men can struggle to talk about their mental well-being due to the stigma of societal expectations and traditional gender roles. If you're struggling with depression, stress, or anxiety, speak to your GP to see if ieso is available in your area.   If you live in the US, access further support by contacting your Primary Care Physician or learn about alternate options here: https://lnkd.in/gYCs3KAj  #IMHW #MHW #MensHealthWeek #InternationalMensHealthWeek Click below to read:

Former ieso patient, Clive, recently shared his experience of typed therapy to help make others aware of the alternative modalities of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Clive details some of the benefits typed therapy can have compared to traditional methods, such as face-to-face therapy - in Clive's case, how the methodical pace of typed therapy gave him more time to process his thoughts and symptoms and identify where he was making progress. Clive was struggling with Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), which was affecting his thinking, as well as causing physical symptoms and discovered ieso online after searching for CBT support available.
