Hunter Adams is an employee-owned HR consultancy, Interim and recruitment business. On the HR side, we provide all HR services under one roof. We consult in all areas of HR, provide HR interims for assignments and projects of any duration, and we offer outsourced HR support to SMEs and charities – essentially acting as their HR department. We are experts in increasing employee engagement and our focus is always on business growth and bottom line. In tough times, profitability is equally important so we can also help you reduce your cost base when/if you need to. We operate UK-wide (as well as internationally) and have worked with over 950 clients across over 30 sectors. On the recruitment side we serve clients across various sectors and disciplines. For instance, do you have the following: \ A clear business plan (or key strategic objectives) that is communicated to and understood by your employees \ Clearly defined roles and responsibilities for every person in the business \ Formal flexible working arrangements in place \ Sound values that are role-modelled by your leadership team If you fail to have these and other fundamentals in place you risk frustrating employees. Not only may they leave to find these things elsewhere, they are likely to become increasingly non-productive. Non or low productivity costs you money and means you will end up with a bigger overhead than required.     A "right to disconnect" rule has come into effect in Australia, offering relief to people who feel forced to take calls or read messages from employers after they finish their day’s work. The new law allows employees to ignore communications after hours if they choose to, without fear of being punished by their bosses. More than 20 countries, mainly in Europe and Latin America, already have similar rules in place.     🥪 Lunch n Learn ✏ As part of promoting wellbeing and awareness, today STR in Aberdeen welcomed Andy Joss and Paul from the Men in Mind team to tell us about the amazing work that they do in promoting and supporting Men's mental health in Aberdeen.   Men in mind are a local peer support group who come together to create a safe space for men who might be struggling with with their mental health and would benefit from having a chat in a non-clinical setting.
