We're the government’s housing and regeneration agency. We help create affordable, quality homes and drive regeneration.
About us
As the government’s housing and regeneration agency, we believe affordable, quality homes in well-designed places are key to improving people’s lives. We help make this happen by combining our powers, expertise, land, capital and influence to bring investment to communities and build more quality homes. We achieve this by forming long-term partnerships that bridge the public and private sectors and by using our influence to champion the creation of sustainable homes, communities and places that are brilliantly designed. We also use our funding and support to build a more resilient, diverse and innovative housing sector, helping new entrants in the market, encouraging modern methods of construction and design, and promoting building safety. Together, with our partners, we’re accelerating the pace of house building, remediation and regeneration across the country. However, our ambitious and exciting agenda can only be achieved through collaboration and commitment. Whatever your role in the built environment, we’re your partner in housing and regeneration and we’re here to help. We’re the #HousingAndRegenerationAgency. Following the publication of the government’s Levelling Up White Paper, Homes England has also been tasked with a core role in spearheading regeneration, partnering with places to reduce economic disparity, empower local leaders and create equal opportunities across the country to ensure communities reach their full potential.

The team at TwelveTrees Park celebrated the handover of the first affordable homes last week by touring senior figures from partner organisations, the GLA and the London Borough of Newham. Chief Executive Rob Perrins accompanied Greater London Authority Deputy Mayor for Housing Tom Copley and Mayor of London Borough of Newham Rokhsana Fiaz OBE, as well as Marcus Ralling, Chief Investment Officer from Homes England and Philip Jenkins FRICS, Executive Director of Development at Peabody. TwelveTrees will bring a dramatic change to the area, taking advantage of the five public transport lines running near the site and extending a thread of development between historic anchor locations in East London: Stratford and Canary Wharf. The project will infuse life into a brownfield site that had long lain unused. The development will have a range of housing tenures with 40% designated as affordable across the development. The Berkeley development team led by Justin Tibaldi and Harry Lewis, have worked hard to deliver high levels of affordable housing alongside vital community amenities and green, landscaped open space. By the time the scheme is complete, it will provide Newham with more than 3,800 much-needed homes. This development is part of our ongoing efforts to work closely with The GLA and London boroughs to build a better, greener, more prosperous London for all. #BrownfieldRegeneration #Partnership #AffordableHomes #Communities
