“I absolutely thought I might die. I reckoned I had about 20 minutes left.” Thursday 6 June, David was out walking his dogs by St Catherine’s Oratory on the Isle of Wight when suddenly a herd of cows started to charge towards him. David was knocked to the ground and trampled. He sustained life-threatening injuries, including a collapsed lung, bleeding in his chest, 12 broken ribs and multiple severe fractures. Without your support, we wouldn't have been able to get to David's side when he needed us the most. Read David's full story on the website and see how your support makes a life-saving difference every day. https://lnkd.in/eVDZyGq5 📸 Isle of Wight County Press.

We are very pleased to share that yesterday evening Eastleigh planning officials approved our plans to relocate our airbase and headquarters to George Curl Way, near Southampton Airport. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to leave feedback. We're so grateful for all the incredible support we have received from the community, it's your support that will help us save even more lives. This move will put us at the heart of more than 70% of our call-outs, allowing us to be refueled, restocked and ready to respond quicker to the next emergency. Last Tuesday we flew to our 13,000th mission. It was also one of the busiest days we've experienced. Including standowns, we were called to 18 emergencies across our region. Some of those call-outs were to the Isle of Wight, Southampton, Brockenhurst, Portsmouth and Fareham. Your support makes a life-saving difference. Thank you. 💚💛

We flew to our 13,000th mission on Tuesday. Dr Frances Dolman, Specialist Paramedic Jonathan Sanders and Pilot Graeme Spence were called to attend a patient and deliver emergency critical care at an incident in the Isle of Wight. It's because of your support that we were able to respond and be there for this patient. Every day, your support helps us be there for even more patients across the region. #ThereForYou

“We are 100% funded by the generosity of the public that we serve. And we are all incredibly humbled and grateful to everyone who continues to keep us responding to the people who need us most.” Clinical Lead Dr Simon Hughes. So far this year, we've responded to 1,183 call-outs - a 31% year-on-year increase for the first half of the year. It's only with your support that our doctors, dispatchers, pilots and paramedics can continue to be there for more patients across the region.
