Plumm Founder and CEO Asim Amin was in action last week at EmpowerHER (thanks for organising Lucy Thompson!) and for having Simonè and Paris, too. We're very proud of our global, diverse team and have seen its impact firsthand ❤️

Women make up only 26% of the tech space   And only 5% of the leadership teams   Why?   Gender Bias   Will she want to start a family? Will she be able to work as hard as a man? Will she be able to balance work and her kids? Will she be as productive when she goes through menopause?   In today’s fast growing world (and faster thanks to AI)   Adaptability has become more important than ever before   The more diversity we have within our teams the faster we are able to learn from each other and the faster we are able to adapt   We should be doubling down on bringing people together from all walks of lives, gender and background to solve problems   How is this not the most logical thing to do?   We have a 50% female split including the leadership team at Plumm.   And this is not a coincidence. We were conscious from the get go, that if we wanted to have any chance at succeeding we could only do it by getting the best people together   Because you are only as strong as your team and STRONGER if that team is diverse!   And I have no doubt this is why we have been successful!   Leaders, this is not a feel good exercise.   This is good for business!   ——————————   ♻️ SHARE with anyone that you think needs to hear this today Follow me Asim Amin for more on mindset and leadership

A huge thank you to Wagestream and Emily Trant for hosting our fabulous Simonè at your webinar last week 😄 Emily has been conducting fascinating research into financial wellbeing. We were only too happy to be involved and share insights around psychological impact of financial hardship. Plumm users can find plenty of financial wellbeing resources on the platform, including access to 1:1 financial coaching 🙂 You can find the full conversation on our website right now.

The votes are in. In a recent poll we asked how safe you feel sharing your real thoughts and feelings at work. The majority of our audience voted "I often hold back my thoughts." These results point to a significant issue of so many employees feeling unable to openly communicate their needs and thoughts honestly at work. But each of us have a role to play in changing this. We can start by fostering an environment of trust.  We can actively encourage open dialogue, and ask for there to be clear, supportive channels for sharing honest feedback.  We can make feedback surveys a priority and ask for constructive feedback sessions based on the survey results.  What are some other strategies that you can think of?  Share your suggestions in the comments. #PsychologicalSafety #WorkplaceWellbeing #InclusiveWorkplace

Financial worries can be one of the biggest contributors to poor mental health.   Next week, Plumm and Wagestream are collaborating on a discussion about the link between money and mental health.    Simonè Meyer (Counsellor at Plumm) will be joining Emily Trant (Chief Impact Officer at Wagestream) to uncover the relationship between financial stress and IQ – one of the main themes in Trant’s latest research paper.   Find out more about the phenomenon known as the ‘scarcity mindset’ and how our financial situations can impact our daily thinking in more ways than we could ever have imagined.   Registration link in the comments below.    #FinancialWellbeing #MentalHealth #ScarcityMindset
