Do you ever need to extract text from an image? The Microsoft Snipping tool now has OCR (optical character recognition) technology that enables you to copy the text from an image and paste it elsewhere. Open the Snipping Tool and click "New". Highlight the area you want to snip. Then click the "Text Actions" button. The Snipping Tool will identify the text in the image and you you can then copy it.

Did you know you can schedule Teams messages to arrive at a later date and time? This is a great tool if you are working outside the usual business hours of your colleagues and don't want to disturb them. Simply right click on the send button (above the red line in the screenshot) and set the date and time you want the message to send. Type out your message and hit "Enter" as usual. Your message will be delivered at the set time. You can edit and delete the message before it is sent if required.

If you've migrated to the New Teams then you've probably had the frustration of sharing your screen during a meeting and having the share controls covering over your tabs in your browser. This prevents you from opening a new tab or selecting the tab hidden behind the controls 😡 Microsoft have planned an update to make the control panel draggable so you can move it out of the way when required. The expected release date is mid-late June.

In just under 4 weeks I'll be running the London Marathon in support of Demelza Charity. Demelza is a charity very close to my heart. My nephew Isaac, an extraordinary little boy with a smile that can brighten even the gloomiest day, has been battling a rare condition known as Lissencephaly. Despite the immense challenges that Lissencephaly brings, Isaac continues to inspire us with his resilience and unyielding spirit. Demelza has been a lifeline for Isaac and our family, providing the much-needed support, care, and resources that help Isaac lead a life full of joy and possibilities. Over the weekend I completed my longest training run to date and everyone in the office is thoroughly enjoying the looks of pain and anguish on my face as I hobble around with very sore legs today.
