🚀 New Breakthrough in Computational Drug Discovery! 🚀 Exciting news published in Frontiers in Pharmacology! A cutting-edge study has identified HLX-0607 as a candidate for treating autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) through innovative computational drug discovery approaches. ADPKD is a rare kidney disease associated with the progressive growth of kidney cysts and eventually renal failure. To address the significant unmet need for new therapeutic approaches, Healx applied multiple computational drug discovery workflows which identified HLX-0607 as a candidate treatment. Further computational and experimental approaches were applied to understand the mechanism of drug action. Today is#NFAwarenessDay The Healx team came together at our Cambridge office to support Neurofibromatosis (NF) Awareness Day by proudly wearing blue and green. NF is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form on nerve tissue, and raising awareness is crucial for driving research and support for those affected. By wearing these colors, we join the global community in shining a light on NF and demonstrating our commitment to this important cause. According to Tim Guilliams, CEO and co-founder of Healx: “This day is so important to all of the team here at Healx because our most advanced asset is on course to enter a Phase 2 clinical trial in the coming months for NF1. All forms of NF are devastating diseases and there are millions of patients who are waiting for new treatments. It’s #NF Awareness month, time to #MakeNFVisible! We’re getting involved by showcasing some of the people here at Healx who are working on the community’s shared goal to #EndNF. First up, check out this recent speech from our Head of Neurofibromatosis Therapy Development, Simone Manso at the Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF) Patient Summit last month. Children's Tumor Foundation Watch the video to hear him talk about how important and impactful collaboration is when it comes to research for NF treatments, including our recent announcement that we are strengthening our own collaboration with CTF. Today, on the first day of the NF Summit for patients and families, we are deepening our relationship with our long-term partner, and the organisers of the summit, the Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF). We have been working together with CTF since 2020, combining our cutting-edge AI platform and drug discovery expertise with their preclinical and clinical research and patient knowledge. With this latest announcement, we will receive investment from CTF to support advancement of our lead compound to clinical trials.
