From a modest beginning, we've now expanded our Harmony Energy family to 𝟓𝟓 employees across 𝟓 nations 🌍 In less than 𝟑 years we've successfully energised 𝟏𝟒 BESS, including 𝟑 of the largest BESS (by MWh) in Europe at the time of launch. Today, we proudly stand as the 𝟐𝐧𝐝 largest BESS operator in Europe by MWh, thanks to reaching the 𝟏𝐆𝐖𝐡 energised milestone! The flagship Harmony Energy Income Trust plc Pillswood BESS has clinched 𝟑 awards in its 𝟏𝐬𝐭 full operational year, securing its place as 𝟏 of GB’s best-performing BESS in 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑. Meanwhile, the Buckinghamshire-based Bumpers BESS gained recognition on BBC News as an example of 𝟏 of the top 𝟓 reasons to be optimistic about climate change. Our operational portfolio can power an estimated 𝟏.𝟔𝟐 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 homes for 𝟐 hours – a significant step toward a sustainable future. 🏡⚡ But hold on, this is just the beginning! ⚡ Major News: Harmony Energy to build France’s largest Battery Energy Storage System ⚡ The project will be the first large scale 2-hour duration battery in France, using Tesla Megapack technology. The 100 MW / 200 MWh battery storage unit will store the electricity equivalent to the average needs of 170,000 homes for two hours and construction of the project is set to begin shortly - the system is expected to be fully operational in winter 2025. The BESS will provide critical balancing services to the French electricity grid network and enable the replacement of fossil fuels with renewable energy. Harmony Energy CEO for France Andy Symonds said: “Developing and operating vital battery energy storage facilities across France, will lead to enhanced energy security, more affordable energy bills, and the decarbonisation of the grid. Harmony Energy Income Trust has made its second community fund allocation of the year! Grants from the Harmony Energy Income Trust plc Broadditch Community Fund have been allocated to seven deserving charities and organisations located within a 5-mile radius of our Broadditch Battery Energy Storage System in Kent. The community funds support a wide range of schemes, including those that support local environments, positively impact biodiversity and nurture a happy and healthy community, all with the vision of powering a more sustainable future for everyone. The seven charities are: 🎗️ Alzheimer's and Dementia Support Services: Community Support - Kent’s biggest independent charity dedicated to providing support to people affected by dementia 🪴 No Walls Gardens CIC: Secret Garden – organizing community gardening projects and provides courses teaching gardening skills to ex-offenders, disabled persons, long term unemployed and recovering addicts 👴 Longfield Hill Community Hall: Safe Access – providing a safe space for local groups such as, Scouts, Guides, art groups, a Welcome Wednesday community group, and other community activities 🏠 Henry Pinnock and Victoria & Albert Memorial Charity: Almshouses 400 Year Memorial - a local charity primarily responsible for the provision of Alms-house accommodation 📚 Stand Against Violence ✌️: Primary Education – a leading provider of evidence-based violence prevention programmes in communities through school workshops, business training and advice 👩 Imago Community: Young Adult Carers Respite – providing support and opportunities to people, families and communities through a focus on improving health and wellbeing and building social and educational opportunities. 🧑🌾 Southfleet Allotments Society: South Border Improvements – a community run site, allowing local people to enjoy growing their own fruit, vegetables and flowers Harmony Energy’s Head of Sustainability, Lucie Peralta Agass, said: “While our BESS sites make a significant contribution to climate mitigation, we also recognise the need for local communities to benefit from our presence and we were delighted to hear how this funding will help the community thrive during these challenging times.” A representative from the Henry Pinnock and Victoria & Albert Memorial Charity, said: “The grant will help increase visibility within the wider local community and raising awareness of our charity.” Want to find out more about the community fund and the groups being supported? We were thrilled to be part of the 2024 Brownlee Foundation Mini-Triathlon Events 🏊🏽♂️🚴🏿♀️🏃🏻 These events aim to inspire children from all backgrounds to enjoy sports and physical activity, promoting active and healthy lifestyles. For some children, it was their first experience riding a bike or swimming, while for others, it reinforced their passion for sports through participation in all three disciplines. A proud partner of The Brownlee Foundation, Harmony Energy CEO Peter Kavanagh said: “It was great to be back at the Brownlee Foundation Mini-Triathlon Events. Witnessing the positive impact of these events on young participants is truly inspiring, and we are excited to be a part of such a meaningful cause.” Olympic gold medallist Alistair Brownlee MBE said: “Our theory is a simple one. We expose as many young people as possible to Triathlon, to highlight that sport can, and should, be fun. We hope that all the participants will have a fun day, and that a few will be inspired to do more. It does not matter if more is a bit of exercise with their friends, or a lot more with their competitors. “None of this could happen without our dedicated team of employees and volunteers, who are at venues all week in the sun and the rain. Set in the famous spa town of Harrogate, the annual 10k saw participants embrace the multi-terrain route, with Crimple Valley reopening to runners to celebrate the special occasion. Peter Kavanagh, CEO of Harmony Energy, said: “It was a brilliant day and we were delighted to support such an important local event.
