🏔 RECORD BREAKING GELATO ⛰ This is our CEO, Tom. A man so at home in our frozen offices, he even chooses to spend his Summer holidays on frosty peaks instead of sunning on a beach. Now, he's taken our gelato to the highest heights. 15,781 ft high, to be exact. Quite the achievement. Bravo, Tom. (...reckon you might want to take a look, Guinness World Records🏆)
🍦 Hackney Gelato Reaching New Heights 🍦 This is me on the top of Mont Blanc (or for those in the know, Montebianco 😊) 🏔 with a tub of HACKNEY GELATO Not the heroic picture I’d planned – a face full of Alpine gale, a peculiar smile, sunburnt nose, the tub of Hackney Gelato slightly off centre, the background possibly the least dramatic I could have chosen - easy to confuse with a winter’s day on a Cotswold hill. But nonetheless this is the highest point in Europe at 15,781 ft (if you ignore Mount Elbrus & Shkhara as many people, and my ego, tend to do). And there I hold aloft a tub of our wonderful Rich Chocolate. “Surely this is the highest a tub of gelato has ever been?” I check with my Patagonian guide, Merlin (great man, great name 🧙♂️ ) and whilst the 60 mph wind, his broken English, my chattering teeth, and the woolly hat all conspire against my hearing, I distinctly make out – “That is correct Tom, no ice cream or gelato brand have ever been to this great height, of that I am sure”. I’m delighted by this validated fact (I know better than to mess with Argentine mountain wisdom) and another new milestone for the brand. And sure, there will no doubt be some adventurous TENZING Natural Energy | B Corp™ cans and Huel bottles (respect due) that have made more intrepid journeys, but we are climbing (growing) our own mountain (UK in home and out of home) and reaching our own summits (new listings) 🙄 . Muddled metaphors aside, these are good times for Hackney Gelato - growth is strong and month after month we are breaking sales and production records. 📈 That is testament to our beautiful recipes and adherence to traditional Italian techniques, but most importantly the people that make it all happen at HG 👏 Day in, day out, each one of the team make a BIG BIG difference. Dealing with growth presents challenges - you need to think on your feet, adapt, embrace, make the tough calls, look to the future, and be resilient 💪 . I feel privileged that we have all these attributes running through the team 😍 . So it’s onwards and upwards for team HG as we continue to proudly redefine ice cream. HACKNEY GELATO
