Greater Manchester's recent 'Hope Hack' has identified some key themes affecting young people, which they say need to be tackled in order to make society a safer and fairer place. Some of the themes identified include: 👉Lack of safe spaces for young people to spend time 👉High cost attached to activities for young people 👉Young girls not feeling encouraged to play sports 👉How ‘banter’ can have a detrimental affect on a person’s wellbeing 👉Uncertainty on how to find work 👉Building relationships with trusted adults Overall, 70 young people aged between 10 and 16 years came together to have their voices heard. Now, their feedback will inform a national report by organisation The Hope Collective, which will be presented to Parliament later in the year to drive change.
