🤖 What does it take to make a conversation with an AI agent so easy that it feels natural to thank it? At Gradient Labs we've found that a lot of support automation bots and tooling force *humans* to bend how they chat normally-they sound robotic with each other and converse transactionally. We've been down in the weeds, not just thinking about resolving problems in complex domains, but also doing so in a meaningfully better way. Not another post about AI agents! 🙈 Well in this case you're right- I got together with Daniel U., Dimitri Masin and Danai A. to write about the experience of building agentic workflows at Gradient Labs. From the high level design approach ("what would a human implicitly do?"), staying away from multi-agent systems for now, and through to the varying levels of abstraction that help us reason about the messy world of dialog.
