Golin's creative team shared their wisdom in two separate PRWeek pieces at the end of last week.   Kim Allain, Associate Creative Director shared 24 words of advice on what makes a good Black History month campaign ahead of BHM in October, read more here - https://lnkd.in/eQ__2MHW   Elliot Riordan tackled second album syndrome, how do you follow up a hit campaign?   “A good idea can open the door to more ideas,” says Riordan. “What if we applied the same thinking to X or Y? Where else in culture or in people’s day-to-day lives does this thought live? Who else could benefit from this message?” Read more here - https://lnkd.in/eUasKVd5

Today we are launching our new London DEI Plan 24/25 for Golin and Virgo Health. It’s been months in the works, with many people across Golin and Virgo inputting and contributing to help us create a reflection of what we have heard, what we have learnt, what we have achieved, as well as what we will focus on for the future. Transparently tracking and sharing our progress on inclusion and representation is a critical part of this. We are sharing the first cut of our representation data collected from our new voluntary disclosure system, Self ID, alongside the results from our inclusion survey BELONG. While our BELONG data gives us lots to be positive about and demonstrates the impact of the last two year’s focus on DEI, we are still in the process of building our new Self-ID data to understand our representation across nine diversity dimensions. Unfortunately, this means we lack full enough data to run a meaningful EPG report this year and participate in this week’s PRWeek Pay Gap Report. As soon as we have more complete data we will report our EPG and other pay reports annually and set stretch targets for under-represented talent. View our London DEI Plan 24/25 here - https://lnkd.in/eSYRZAcV And a huge thank you to our brilliant cover artist, Baraka Carberry, AKA @Bokiba, a Midlands-based British Guyanese artist. We worked closely with Baraka to convey the joy we know diversity and inclusion can bring. We hope you agree she did an incredible job.

Your desk can be a danger to your mental health. But just 15 minutes of movement can help to reverse the effects. Introducing #DeskBreak by ASICS, our latest global integrated campaign that warns the world about the workplace threat of uninterrupted desk work, encouraging employees to take a #deskbreak to move for their mind. We recruited the world’s scariest boss, Brian Cox, to deliver a rousing public service announcement to desk workers, calling on them to reject wellness perks like ‘Wellness Wednesdays’ and ‘free fruit’ and instead take a 15 minute #DeskBreak. The campaign is supported by global research looking at the powerful impact a simple 15-minute move break can have on your mental health. We are also launching a world-first employment contract clause for movement that employees can share with bosses and a call to action to take a #DeskBreak on World Mental Health Day on October 10th. Chief Creative Officer, Golin London

Last night saw Golin London named Creative Agency of the Year at the Creative Moment awards - alongside 5 campaign wins - in the same week Cannes Lions ranked us 4th in London and 9th in Europe. It's the culmination of a long journey to raise the bar on earned creative and redefine its role in the agency mix. Bigger ideas, integrated seamlessly, executed beautifully, delivering outstanding effectiveness. Hugely grateful to our clients for giving us the scope to show what's possible, and the whole Golin team for putting the work in. 🔥2024🔥

Last night we hosted Justin Webb, BBC Radio 4 Today and Americast presenter, who shared his extraordinary insight on being at the forefront of the BBC's US election coverage. Covering everything from Kamala's late entry to the power of Trump's appeal. Why the Hispanic population could swing the vote, the unchartered waters of TikTok influence and whether Swifties could really make a difference at the polls. Justin was the BBC’s North America Editor when Obama was elected and was the first Ex US journalist to interview Obama, with this election being another pivotal moment in US history and Justin leading the BBC's coverage, we were so excited he could join us. Huge thank you to Justin Webb and all who attended.

Less than 15 weeks to Christmas! So Kim Allain, Golin Associate Creative Director, shared her perspective with PRWeek on the potential themes in this year's coming Christmas brand campaigns:   'I wonder if diversity, after such a divisive year, will play a part in this year’s campaigns, showcasing the different faces of the families that celebrate Christmas across the UK.'

‘It will be a risk-averse Christmas’ – what can we expect from festive campaigns?
