It's an exciting day here at GGA HQ, as we unveil our shiny new website for the inaugural Global Good Finance Awards 🙌 This new addition to the Global Good family will shine a light on those in the finance sector, who are leading the march on a just transition to a sustainable future. We're talking banks, fintech, wealth managers, insurers...and everything in between; the role that organisations such as these play in our future is huge, and we want to recognise and celebrate those who are already responding to the challenges upon us. A massive thanks to Alice Chapple and Martin Wright for pulling together a brilliant selection of categories. To ensure GGFA continues to be current and relevant, we have an Advisory Board comprising of leading lights in finance and sustainability. Joining myself, Martin and Alice will be Emily Murrell FRSA, Ivana Gazibara, Roshan Bharwani and Ed Grattan The awards launch in early 2025; find all of the important information and dates on the website >> https://lnkd.in/enpUh-6b We can't wait to get going - please help us spread the word!
Global Good Awards

Sustainability awards, run sustainably. Rewarding actions not aims. Join us at https://www.purposesummit.co.uk/
About us
Ethical, transparent and sustainable awards programme and The Purpose Summit... a day of insight, advice and bright ideas. You’ll be inspired by experienced business leaders and Global Good Award winners, learning how they have turned purpose-led strategies into action, and take part in interactive sessions revealing how change happens. It is the ethos of the Global Good Awards that makes us stand out from the crowd. We believe that if we are to recognise and reward change across all aspects of purpose-driven sustainability and social impact, then we have to be walking that talk ourselves. We’re independent. We’re not tied to any large publishing or event company, which means that our decisions and actions are not influenced by any vested interests or operational restrictions; we are free to develop the Global Good Awards in line with our ethos. Each year, we continue to push the sustainability boundaries further: from our venues to our menus, from our dress code to our printed material… everything we do is sustainable. You can read more detail about what we do here: Our Responsibility.

A big 'hello' and a massive 'thank you' to our latest sponsor, Reborn Products 👋 Former winners of the Circular Economy category in the 2023 GGA's, they are now proud sponsors of our Waste Reduction & Minimisation award. Reborn are innovators and leaders when it comes to recycling and repurposing of mattresses; they've salvaged a whopping 10 million kg of material since 2021! Their commitment is to ensure that 100% of the mattresses they receive avoid landfill; instead, they are recycled to produce everything from new mattresses, to pillows, and even pet beds. GGA founder , Karen Sutton, can vouch for the comfort of their camping mattresses, having caught some zzz's on one on a recent trip 😁 We do still have some sponsorship opportunities available, so please do get in touch if this is of interest >> https://lnkd.in/dyNzE9Ta

If you're in a role or organisation that regularly looks to raise funds from external sources - maybe you're a charity, or perhaps a social enterprise running different projects - then this is an excellent piece by one of our GGA friends, Trewin Restorick, on how to process your thoughts when a funder says 'no'. Trewin has mountains of experience in the field of fundraising, having founded Hubbub (who have won multiple Global Good Awards over the years!), PaperRound (now Recorra), and Global Action Plan. He now heads up Sizzle Innovation where, in his own words, 'daring and bold organisations can explore fresh solutions that tackle environmental and social challenges.' Have a read, and take heart that initial disappointment can almost always be reframed >> https://lnkd.in/gCWR6qP3
