As an artist, it’s important to take intentional breaks 🌱 So when I got invited to stay in one of Unplugged’s cabins I said yes to going offline for a few days and ventured out of the 4 walls of my art studio to stay in a beautiful off-grid cabin nestled in nature. The first few months of 2024 had been really busy and I found it hard to schedule in rest times, and as the year went on I quickly got burnt out. Coming up to my time offline, I got a bit nervous. A big part of being a full-time artist is building a good online presence, and so the thought of going offline worried me, BUT I realised that looking after my mental and physical health is much more important. I surprisingly found offline living very easy and even rediscovered old hobbies such as weaving and photography again! Coming back into the online world I feel ready to do life differently: - prioritising a work-life balance & taking intentional breaks - incorporating walks into my daily life - connecting more with people offline I HIGHLY recommend that everyone should take some time offline and surrounded themselves with nature, so definitely check out Unplugged!
