Agency values matter. In a recent Major Players | B Corp™ industry survey, over a third of professionals in Marketing & PR are considering leaving their role. High staff turnover is expensive - not only in 💰 from hiring costs but in time. Whilst competitive salaries play a role in keeping employees engaged, the impact of a pay rise typically diminishes after a few months. Company perks, though beneficial, are also just one piece of the puzzle. At Full Fat Agency we believe at the heart of retaining great individuals, is creating an inclusive workplace that employees genuinely care about and want to get behind. And that starts with values. Not the kind that are in the handbook and never spoken about - I’m talking about values that you live and breathe every single day. Last year we ripped up our values. They weren't working, no one could remember what they were and they weren’t representative of where we were as a business. So we started again. We knew they needed to be simple, be true to our company and be embraced from the top down. Embracing Our Values at Work. Take a look at what we are doing to help ensure our team live and breathe our values. Back in 2022, we re-worked our values and committed as an agency to truly live by the core beliefs we uphold as an agency and as a team. Since then, we’ve experienced incredible growth across all aspects of our business. Our core values are our main motivators, keeping us focused, aligned, and on track throughout the year. One of our values is **Human Connection** and last month we introduced our DEI: Spotlight. This initiative inspires our team to get curious about each other and ask meaningful questions. With our hybrid work model, we have two days in the office filled with productive face-to-face meetings and lively lunches. Amidst these bustling days, finding time for casual conversations can be challenging. That’s where DEI: Spotlight comes in, providing conversation starters that help our team dive straight into engaging discussions. It has also been incredibly helpful for our neurodivergent team members, making social interactions more comfortable. Last month we heard from our People & Office Manager River Bainbridge and this month was from our Account Executive Advika Sumana Reddy. After another super successful round of pro-bono work with QUEER BRITAIN: the national LGBTQ museum, our summer 2024 application are now open for our pro bono scheme! We welcome applications from both nonprofits and charities operating within the UK and with a focus on racial, sexual, gender, ability and social equity.
