It will be a two-day conference, held at Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in London on 24-25 September 2024. The National Space Operations Centre and RAF Fylingdales monitored the break-up of the Chinese Long March 6A rocket earlier this week.   UK Space Command and the UK Space Agency are monitoring the debris to assess any potential risks to UK satellites.

UK Space Command hosted the UK’s first space wargame by holding ‘Space Warrior’ at the Defence Experimentation and Wargaming Hub at Southwick Park in Hampshire. The wargame explored how commercial space-based Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) can work alongside defence’s own space-based ISR capabilities, such as Programme ISTARI, which will deliver a constellation of defence satellites for space-based ISR by 2031. Overseen by Major General Paul Tedman, Commander of UK Space Command, participants in the exercise included staff from across the Ministry of Defence, industry, and international partners & allies.
