A recent survey shows a majority of LMS and LXP buyers are feeling underwhelmed by their current solutions. Only 4 in 10 say their platforms truly meet the needs of today’s workforce. What’s more concerning: The gap between those satisfied and dissatisfied with their learning systems is growing. In fact, this year saw a 20% leap in users reporting that their platforms are not fit for the modern workforce. It’s clear that the demand for modern, personalised learning experiences is there — will learning platforms meet that need? Remember: an enthusiastic C-Suite is almost three times more likely to accelerate their investment in new digital learning projects. https://ow.ly/Ftmz50TBfq9 Explore all the insight in the fourth infographic in our Digital Learning Realities series. Thinking and working differently to create strategic momentum – how L&D becomes a strategic partner The theme of L&D having strategic influence in the business and earning ‘a seat at the top table’ feels timeless, yet little seems to have changed over the years. However, there are important signals the environment is changing - and that it needs to change. More serious questions are being asked about investment in learning and the value it can create. To demonstrate that value, learning must show it can contribute to the solution of meaningful and valuable problems far beyond the design of great training experiences. So, how do we reinvent ourselves as strategic partners to the business? Join Sponge and Fosway Group's Myles Runham in this webinar as they discuss: What does the landscape for learning as strategic influencer look like now: levels of maturity, barriers, blockers and progress The necessary conditions for learning teams and services to have strategic influence Partnering relationships as a crucial foundation Exploring the Sponge 3Es methodology, its rationale and benefits Describing how the approach has worked in customer contexts Where next for the industry – L&D as strategic service to the business and service providers as strategic partners to L&D Register now, the webinar takes place on 16 Oct: https://ow.ly/pCYB50TwTCU #Learning #LearningAndDevelopment #DigitalLearning

AI newsflash: This week our Digital Learning Realities research focuses on AI and its impact on learning, today and tomorrow. While AI's impact on L&D is currently limited, with only 25% reporting significant effects, expectations for 2025 are high, with over half anticipating substantial AI influence. Many L&D professionals are still sceptical of AI's promises, as it clearly still takes a lot of effort to implement solutions effectively. But if we look to Microsoft Copilot and other chatbots, we can see they're already transforming learner interactions. We are seeing a potential reshaping of the future of learning systems and content. Our AI work doesn't end here - we're embarking on a longer term strategic look at AI in HR, and sourcing research partners at the moment too. Corporate research inputs will include additional research interviews, roundtable discussions around the realities of AI for HR and learning, with a focus on practical experience of specific providers, implications for value proposition for L&D organisations, managers and employees. Great to see that 63% have ESG as a learning priority in this first Digital Realities report release from Fosway Group, but it's still 3rd from bottom as a strategic priority when it comes to corporate learning priorities! Is this out of sync with wider corporate strategy? With a tsunami of regulatory reporting demands coming down the line, three quarters of investors assessing ESG when extending finance and a changing climate that affects all areas of business (according to PwC's Pulse Survey 37% of CFOs have assessed climate change as a moderate or serious threat to the business), maybe it's time for it to move higher up L&D's priority list? How can we make this happen?

It’s here - the first of five infographics that make up Fosway Group’s Digital Learning Realities research 2024. Proudly presented in partnership with Learning Technologies, Europe’s premier learning tech conference and exhibition, the first infographic focuses on ‘L&D Priorities and Strategy in the Modern Era’. A snapshot of the insights within: - Upskilling and reskilling is the top business priority for the year ahead - But 1 in 5 learning leaders rate their upskilling strategy as ineffective. - Almost half of respondents are mobilising around strategic organisational priorities - alignment is real, and happening. Looking for the full insight into priorities and strategy? Download the first infographic here: https://ow.ly/szzi50TjQ7Y A huge thank you to all who took part, and we look forward to sharing the full set of infographics in the coming weeks.
