Hospitals and Health Care

Fortius Clinic specialises in orthopaedics and sports medicine, nothing else and we’re the largest group in the UK.

About us

Fortius Clinic has more than 300 specialists from surgeons to sports physicians, rheumatologists, pain management specialists and radiologists. We diagnose and treat thousands of patients every year, from elite and amateur athletes to those with chronic arthritis and other orthopaedic injuries. Fortius Clinic was founded by a group of specialists with a shared vision - to push the boundaries of orthopaedics and sports medicine and achieve new standards for clinical excellence. We knew that the way to achieve a world-class centre of excellence was through super-specialism, dedicating resource and expertise to one area of medicine and attracting like-minded clinicians who understood that we could be ‘stronger together’. In 2021 Fortius Clinic became part of Affidea Group, a leading European healthcare provider owned by GBL, itself a long-term investor in health brands. Affidea has committed to help Fortius achieve our vision to become Europe’s leading specialist provider of orthopaedics and sports medicine. We have some of the most exciting and rewarding career opportunities in private healthcare. Fortius is built on the talent and the skills of each individual within it. Our core company values remain at the heart of everything we do. We are always looking for talented, experienced people, please send your CV and covering letter to [email protected]

Hear from our Official Sports Medicine partner Fortius Clinic as part of our series, Quins Collab. We joined forces with our Official Sports Medicine partner Fortius Clinic to, amongst other things, produce a video and an event this season. We told the story of Prop Simon Kerrod’s return to fitness from an ankle injury with a video featuring Simon, our Head of Medical Mike Lancaster and Fortius Consultant Professor James Calder reunited at Surrey Sports Park. The video showed that by working closely with Fortius, our medical team has the reassurance and confidence that our players have the best possible care. For the second year running we teamed up with Fortius to run an educational event discussing important topics around sports injuries in rugby. Aimed at healthcare professionals, the event was chaired by Fortius consultant Dr Jo Larkin and featured two other Fortius consultants, the Quins medical team and players Jack Kenningham and Sarah Bonar who talked about how they had recovered from injury post-surgery.
