It was an honour to be representing The Food and Drink Federation at this event and to engage with engineers of the future to show all that our sector has to offer. Many thanks to martyn robinson and the team and Mondelēz International for organising the day with #ProFSET and in facilitating a productive roundtable discussion with academic staff and Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST).
On Friday last week, Mondelēz International hosted the #ProFSET Food Engineer Student Launchpad event, at our iconic Cadbury factory in Bournville 🍫 We hosted students from all across the UK, plus academic staff alongside Tanya Barringer from The Food and Drink Federation to inspire the next generation of engineering talent, together with leaders from across our business. Thomas Bullock and I rounded off the day talking all things careers and speaking with some of the students directly. It was a pleasure to meet you all! HUGE shout out to martyn robinson who designed, organised and led the event on the day. We've had phenomenal feedback because of your hard work - you made this happen! 👏 If you are interested in #graduate or #placementyear internship in engineering, our 2025 early careers opportunities are live at careers.mdlz.com now! #teamMDLZ #food #engineering

Now the dust has settled, we’re reflecting on a very busy September, attending the Liberal Democrats, The Labour Party and The Conservative Party conferences. It was great to strengthen our relationships with MPs and other stakeholders – we were overwhelmed by the number of people who took the time to have a cuppa and chat with us. A big thank you to our member representatives who joined us on our travelling kitchen stand in Liverpool and Birmingham: Tate & Lyle Sugars Kellanova pladis Global Britvic plc PepsiCo apetito UK Tilda® | B Corp Nestlé If you missed us at any of the party conferences, read our manifesto which highlights our approach to transforming our food system and support the food and drink sector: https://lnkd.in/eFjNqN89 #LPC24 #CPC24 #LDConf

Great to see Nestlé trial and transform their traditional packaging for such a beloved brand - Quality Street, ahead of its prime festive season. We’re looking forward to seeing the results from this initiative, involving consumers through each stage of the journey and a thoughtful step forward in innovative packaging within the food and drink manufacturing sector!
Introducing the Quality Street paper tub 🍬 Next week, selected Tesco supermarkets will debut a first-of-its-kind paper tub for Quality Street, a collaborative trial in innovative packaging, marking another step in our journey to reduce virgin plastic. More than 200,000 paper tubs, carrying around 150 tonnes of the beloved sweets, will be available this festive season. Once empty, the tub can be easily recycled along with the individual paper twist-wrappers ♻️ Jemma Handley, Senior Brand Manager for Quality Street, said: “We’re looking forward to seeing what Quality Street fans make of the paper tub. A lot of care and hard work has gone into the trial and we’re proud to be the first major manufacturer to trial a paper tub at Christmas. The beautiful design has been devised specifically for a paper product and we love how it looks, and of course, shoppers can expect the same great tasting Quality Street sweets that they know and love inside.” Quality Street will be evaluating the tub’s popularity with shoppers, feedback from supply chain teams and in-store teams at Tesco, as the iconic brand continues to innovate and seek ways to improve the sustainability of its packaging. #QualityStreet #Packaging #Innovation #NestléUKI
