🚜 Farm vehicles and moving machinery cause over half the fatalities on UK farms, and many accident reports suggest the whereabouts of those involved simply wasn’t known – “I just didn’t know where they were” is a common finding. The AgriGuardian app provides a simple way to keep track of children and other vulnerable people on farm. Using the proximity feature, protected users can be ‘tethered’ to a Guardian, who is alerted if they stray too far away. 📱 Award-winning farm safety app AgriGuardian has several handy features to keep you and your family safe on farm. This includes the proximity feature that warns a Guardian (the farmer or parent) when a protected user (a child or vulnerable adult) comes into close proximity of the Guardian’s device. The aim is to prevent accidents in high noise environments, such as where machinery is operating. 💡 Don’t forget all First Milk members can now access the AgriGuardian app for free. Our members can now access the award-winning AgriGuardian app for free! The app helps improve farm safety and reduce accidents. One of the three levels of protection offered by the app are alert zones. Here’s how this feature works: 🗺 The farm is mapped out by the Guardian, such as the farmer or parent, on a mobile device. 🚷 Areas can be designated as a safe zone (eg. garden) or danger zone (eg. near a slurry pit). 🚨 If a protected user, such as a child, leaves a safe zone or enters a danger zone then the Guardian receives an alert. 🔊 The alert continues to sound until acknowledged by the Guardian. ⏰ Areas can be customised to detail who triggers an alert and when. Over the summer we have been celebrating our commitment to farming with nature by hosting a series of regenerative farming fun days 🌱 🌍 At First Milk we work with nature every day to produce tasty, wholesome and nutritious dairy food. 🐄🐝🐛To celebrate this we have been welcoming families onto our farms across the country. From seeing cows being milked to taking part in worm and dung beetle safaris, it's been fantastic to see so many children learning more about farming and nature.
