On 27th June, OpEx Team South at First Central took the opportunity to support a local hospice through Neighbourly allowing us to see what amazing work the charity does first hand, as well as spend some valuable face to face time with the team. St Peter & St James Charitable Trust in Chailey provides expert care to adults living with a life-limiting illness in our community, extending valuable support to friends and families across Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Lewes, Uckfield and everywhere in between. They support people to live and die well according to what matters most to them. Their mission is to provide the best possible care, in the right place, at the right time, to everyone who needs them. The workforce is committed to excellence in all they do, but heavily dependant on an army of volunteers to allow this to happen. Our day consisted of a tour of the vast distribution centre, and meeting the other volunteers, before starting so sort donations from the public, including clothes and books. Wendy and her team have created a well oiled, but endless process to provide the c£10k per day required to support this great service they provide, through 10 charity shops, online sales and events, as well as legacy gifts. A warm welcome and sense of contribution to our community, led to a fun and rewarding experience. One we hope to repeat soon!

The Cash for Kids Greater Manchester Golf Day & Glitter Ball 2024 ✅👏🎉 I don't think I've come down from cloud nine just yet after the most amazing day and night on Friday!! £36,647 raised wow wow wow!! There are SO many people to thank for making this possible!!! A big thank you to: ◼ Every single person who entered a golf team and/or purchased tickets/tables and generously donated throughout the day and night in many ways. The best in the business by far!! ◼ The incredible Anita Ryan Events for organising the most amazing evening of entertainment from start to finish. If you're hosting an event, 100% give Anita a call!! ◼ Our fabulous volunteers from Finegreen, Barclays UK, Kellogg Company, First Central and Cadent Gas Limited and the gorgeous Amy Traynor who so kindly gave up their time to help us. We couldn't have done these events without them. You were all a HUGE help! ◼ Danny Bee and the fantastic team at UK Media & Events Limited for providing top class AV support. There is no one else we would use! ◼ Lucy Whelan from Eleven Ten Events for bringing so much fun in the evening with a 360 photobooth. Our guests loved this!! ◼ Extra Fleur Event Styling for creating the most stunning sequin wall and balloon display and table centrepieces ◼ Dan Matten and the fabulous team at A Star Experience for arranging a brilliant array of prizes for the silent auction and kindly donating a prize to our live auction ◼ Zak Sanderson, Jody Russell and the team at XL Office Solutions for knocking it out the park once again with all the printing we needed And last but absolutely not least, my INCREDIBLE team Lucy Summerton and Leah Wegener who are absolute superstars and worked sooooo hard on these events for months. You are both sensational and I couldn't be more grateful or prouder of you both!! Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone involved in making these events a huge success.
