I wrote about living through the two hottest days ever recorded and how record-breaking temperatures have become just another statistic in our rapidly warming world. Brainstorms are always fun but I left this one with Renault’s Jim Holder feeling slightly uneasy: discussing a publishing partnership to showcase the new Scenic’s family car strengths I suggested a ‘take your kids to work’ idea – starring my daughters. Gulp! Time to prove that old phrase – ‘never work with children or animals’ from W.C Fields – wrong. A few weeks later we were driving to Paris via the Normandy coast, catching the 2024 Olympic torch relay and having a brilliant time, and I’m in awe of how my daughters embraced the opportunity. The content is out now, and I reckon it meets Renault’s brief of authentically showcasing the Scenic’s attributes, from its Google-based infotainment to its ingenious rear armrest to its stunning Solarbay glass roof. Mixing autos and lifestyle in our trademark way, I now have my first byline in Grazia online and magazine, as well as a feature in Car, our Apple News channel and on the website. And the audience engagements are racking up. Thanks to the video team of Manos Kountouris and Tobias Brent for their skill, patience and sense of fun, Charlie Magee for the amazing photos – and thanks to Renault UK’s David Isherwood, Guillaume Sicard, Lawrence Hamilton, Monica Forno and Jim for believing in the brainstorm! Joint report from Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) and Ember explores this question, bringing together the needs of grid users and best practices from existing maps. 🗺️ Hosting capacity maps show WHERE and HOW MUCH capacity is available on the grid, bringing multiple benefits: ⚡Enabling project promoters to make smarter applications and save on time wasted in grid connection queues, speeding up investment decisions and the deployment of clean technologies ⚡Reducing the number of grid connection requests as project promoters won’t have to ‘fish’ for locations by making multiple requests as they're doing now ⚡Helping grid users maximise usage of the existing network by identifying opportunities where new capacity can be connected and flexibility solutions are in high demand See our recommendations for an “ideal” map: https://lnkd.in/gPvwJHAM
