There's a disconnect between startups and corporations, and it can lead to missed opportunities. Here's why: 1/ Startups might not grasp a corporation's needs, especially for hardware. Imagine a startup promising 10,000 drones by year-end while their capacity is just 10 units! Do your research before approaching corporations. 2/ Corporate sales cycles are like entire marathons, 3-5 years long! Startups used to quicker wins might be discouraged by this timeframe. Adjust your expectations for a longer runway. 3/ Startups often misunderstand corporate budgeting. Even with a signed deal, the current year's budget is likely locked.
