Just last month, our very own Toby Hankins was awarded the ‘Young Employee of the Year’ Award at the 2024 UK Warehousing Association Awards for Excellence! Starting as a warehouse colleague in 2020, Toby’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Now, as our Automation Area Manager, he oversees operations through our state-of-the-art automation system at the Corby warehouse. Toby’s dedication, competence, and passion for logistics have truly set him apart. We couldn’t be prouder of his achievements and look forward to seeing him continue to excel in his new role. 🚨 Incident Update: Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan 🚨 On Friday, August 9th, 2024, a significant explosion occurred on board the container vessel 'YM Mobility,' operated by Yang Ming, while it was moored at the Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan—one of the largest container ports in the world. We are relieved to report that there were no casualties but the impact on the terminal’s operations remains uncertain. It's anticipated that there will be increased scrutiny and more stringent checks on dangerous goods (DG) at the Ningbo terminal, with potential restrictions being implemented. Our teams, including our Europa Shanghai office, are working around the clock to assess the situation. We will continue to monitor developments closely and provide updates as more information becomes available.
