📊 Today’s stats on the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) highlight the crucial role of tutoring in supporting students, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Launched in 2020, the programme aimed to provide high-quality tuition to students who need it most. The programme’s potential is undeniable: every £1 spent leads to £6.58 of economic gain, a huge benefit. This means that the concept of a tutoring guarantee is sound – the issue lies in the implementation of it. This is where the new government can step in and reform the implementation of the NTP, so that it truly reaches those who need it most.    "Despite being held back by poor implementation, once again the majority of schools have used the National Tutoring Programme this year. This is because tutoring works - it's one of the best evidenced ways to boost pupils’ grades. It was brilliant to see the iconic National Theatre lit up in Etio purple last week for the UK rebrand launch of Etio (formerly Tribal Group Education Services). It was so wonderful to see so many familiar faces and share lots of insightful conversations with a range of leaders across the education sector.
