Applications are now open for our #DELTM qualification. Starting in October, the DELTM is perfect for new, aspiring and experienced managers working in #UKELT. Our trainers have a wealth of experience. Learning from them and your fellow participants, the DELTM can equip you with the knowledge and confidence you need to succeed and grow in your role. Ally Connet, who works at St Andrew's College Language Schools, successfully completed the DELTM earlier this year. He said, "The DELTM course has allowed me to reflect on my managerial experience and methods and give an improved and more rounded perspective on how to tackle challenges in many different areas." Our DELTM trainers are: George Pickering, Fiona Dunlop, Ann Hawkings, Terry Phillips and Nikki Tinniswood. To join our 2024/25 DELTM cohort sign up now – applications close Friday 13 September. On July 11th, Belta Seal agencies participated in English UK's exclusive presentation - "English UK’s Latest data on the Brazilian market for English courses in the UK" Our President, Alexandre Argenta, welcomed the event and Roz McGill from English UK presented key findings from her association's latest statistical reports - English UK's 2023 annual report and Q1 2024 data. In the last decade, Brazil has become one of the most important countries of origin for the international educational sector. In 2021, it topped the rankings, sending around 675,000 weeks to ELT students around the world. But the UK's share of this total was 7%. Using the intelligence of her association's two statistical schemes, she presented emerging trends. Data on where Brazil is now compared to the previous year and 2019, what the pace and trajectory of the UK's recovery is, which segments are on the rise, which regions of the UK are popular, etc. We would like to thank ENglish UK's long-standing partnership with ENglish UK and everyone who participated in the event.

We congratulate The Labour Party and Sir Keir Starmer on winning the election and forming the new government. We will strive to build close working relationships in the coming weeks and months. Our chief executive, Jodie Gray, said: "English UK will continue campaigning for a supportive business environment for #UKELT... “We are optimistic that a new government will view some of the issues facing our industry with fresh eyes and that aspects of our operating environment will be improved. We are already grateful to Sir Keir Starmer for clarifying in a letter to members in his constituency that Labour’s plans to make private school fees subject to VAT will not apply to ELT centres.    “We’d like to congratulate Sir Keir and his party as well as all the other new MPs in the House. We will begin building relationships with them and encouraging our members to do so in the coming weeks.” >> bit.ly/4cqqsvV
