Looking into the future, we are looking for new team members across a range of disciplines and teams. In M&E we need Principal and Senior building services, mechanical, electrical and telecoms engineers, could be UK or India-based but will require at least 5 years of UK design experience. In civils/structures/buildings we need principal, senior and design engineers, could be UK or India based but need to be confident in liaising with UK-based clients on a regular basis. The desire to attend site every so often would also be beneficial and Principal Engineer applicants would need to be Chartered by the ICE or IStructE. In the survey and exams team, Investigation and Examination Services, we are looking for trainee structures examiners and trainee surveyors. No previous experience is required as all training will be provided, but understanding that these roles will require a significant amount of time on site around the UK and potentially Ireland also. If you are interested or want to find out more, please send your CV to [email protected] #wearehiring #engineering

We are looking for graduate engineers to join all of our teams here in the UK. Ideally you will be based in the East Midlands and able to work in our Derby office 2 days a week at the RTC Business Park. It would be beneficial if you can drive because we like to make sure all of our engineers visit the sites we are working on, gaining valuable constructability and client-facing experience to support their office-based design experience. If you are interested in joining us for the next stage of your career journey, get in touch with Dr Dave Gent

This is a little bit tongue in cheek but the size difference between the two #Lego cranes that appeared in the office this morning mirrors the increase in size of cranes we have been designing temporary works for this year. As our projects have increased in size and scale, so too has the plant needed to build them! It has been a bit of a learning curve, with the larger cranes coming to site we are no longer just designing the crane pads and bases, but the protection for services along the temporary haul roads, the swept path analysis not just for those haul roads but for most of the delivery route, skid pads, jack pads, walkways, temporary lighting and site quarters.... thankfully our teams have the capability to do all of this in-house and the fast-paced nature of the design works is refreshing! We're looking for a number of roles in our non-rail teams, specifically civil and structural engineers with experience of minor civils and buildings design. To be transparent, the associated salary bandings here in the UK would be: - Assistant Engineer: £30-39k - Senior Engineer: £40-54k - Principal Engineer: £55-69k Actual salaries will depend upon experience and qualifications. Some site visits will be required regardless of which team you sit in and you will be expected to manage your own time effectively. Please get in touch with Dr Dave Gent and/or Andrew Spencer CEng MICE if you are interested in joining us on this journey! #sustainability #socialresponsibility #innovation #engineering
