🚨 Sustainability Report Case Study:   We recently had the privilege of working with Sirius Real Estate on their 2024 ESG Report.   It is titled ‘Building Momentum’ and focuses on their ESG strategy, approach, and progress.   It was created as an interactive HTML microsite and is available as a PDF, too. Both versions can be viewed by clicking on this link. 👇 https://lnkd.in/d7RW9cU   It was great collaborating with Kremena Wissel and her team at on the project. A special mention also goes to Will Davidson and Ruth Sibbett on the Emperor side for their hard work in bringing it all together. If you would like to know more about the process of creating something similar, please pop an e-mail through to [email protected] and we can have a chat. Have a great weekend. ☀️   #sustainability #sustainabilityreporting #ESG

📺 See how time truly flies in the latest BBC Annual Report - taking a look back on a huge year gone, while keeping sights on an exciting future ahead. 💕 They’ve been at the heart of the nation for over 100 years, and now a new strategy has been announced to keep the BBC at the forefront of today’s competitive media landscape. The report itself fully embraces the new brand. It’s bold, typographic and editorial. We’ve simplified skilfully, showing both the BBC's legacy and the outstanding value they continue to bring to all audiences.    The BBC made the leap to use Workiva this year, streamlining their process using the platform’s data linkage capability. We've supported them through this transition and are delighted to share the report, which you can check out here👇  https://lnkd.in/eVsxB5ee #reporting #annualreport #annualreports

📹 Dow film case study. Episode 3 🎬 Emperor's work with Dow in Europe has evolved over many years with integrated thinking, strategy, and creative execution for trade shows, event concepts, product launches, employee engagement programmes, and campaign delivery. This episode is the last in a trilogy that takes the viewer on a sustainability journey through circularity, waste management, and AI. The films demonstrate how nature has evolved and are the ultimate inspiration for many of the challenges we face today. The project was spearheaded by Judy Hicks at Dow and crafted by Luke Thompson-Clarke and Samantha Dickinson from Emperor's rapidly growing Moving Image team. They were developed with a sound grade designed for a big auditorium, and they are well worth watching on full screen and listening to through headphones to appreciate the exceptional audio experience fully. Judy said of the film project: “Working with Emperor has been one of the highlights of my tenure at Dow. Together we have navigated some of the complexities of plastics and plastics pollution, the responsibilities that need to be borne by the industry, and always found highly visual, informative, and compelling ways to do this. I am immensely proud of 'The Original Innovator' trilogy of films, where they demonstrated an innate understanding of the concept I was trying to articulate and brought it to life.” If you haven't seen the first two films, they are well worth watching in sequence. The first one was posted last Monday, and the second last Thursday. If you are considering using video to tell your story and would like to discuss the process, please e-mail [email protected] , and we'd be delighted to schedule a chat. #videoproduction #filmmaking #sustainability

‘Do you have any regrets?’ To mark #EODay, Emperor’s Kingsley James reflects on Emperor’s journey as an employee owned business over the past 4 and a half years 👇

View profile for Kingsley James, graphic

Director, board advisor, NED and trustee

Today is the 5th #EODay since Emperor became majority employee owned. Over the past 4 1/2 years I have had many conversations with other business owners in my network, or who I have met through the eoa, who are considering selling their businesses to an EOT. Often their final question is "do you have any regrets?". The answer is always categorically, “no”. The transaction has achieved what we set out to do - realise value for the original shareholders, secure Emperor's future as an independent agency, protect our people and culture, enable a controlled leadership succession process, allow us to commit to being the responsible, inclusive and fair business our people want to be part of, and provide a structure that will enable the whole team in Emperor to share in its future success. However, the fact that there are no regrets does not mean the last 4 1/2 years have played out as we envisaged or wanted. We have not been able to deliver the financial rewards to the team that we planned - COVID, Liz Truss, inflation, interest rates, geo-political crises and some of our own mistakes have seen to that (a reminder that employee ownership doesn't insulate you against the harsh realities of running a business in today's world). We have been forced into some difficult decisions and had to part company with some excellent people. It's also taken us too long to properly harness our people's collective voice. But reflecting on where we are today, there is a strong sense of optimism.  We are growing, the new leadership team is established, the Partner Board (which recently received 23 (!) different nominations to fill vacant positions) is effectively capturing the views of our people, and helping us make better decisions, and we are making progress against the non-financial targets that we set ourselves to become a better business (you can read about that here https://lnkd.in/gT3Ye-js) Happy #EODay to all the other employee owned businesses in the UK. I'm sure it's working for you too.....
