✈ | We're rolling out new flight information display screens to make things easier for passengers at the airport. These screens will display more information, including potential for language translations and destination weather, and will be easier to read. They are positioned in prominent locations with large new screens around the entrance and exit to World Duty Free, along with improvements in the check-in hall and across the departure lounge. 🔌| Making positive changes to our airfield vehicles. Two new EVs have joined our fleet of operations vehicles - with more planned - as we reduce emissions as part of our Greater Good sustainability strategy. This sustainability improvement is one of several improvements being rolled out across the airport this summer. It comes after two new electric coaches were introduced to our airfield, adding to the two brought in last year. PizzaExpress, Seoul Bird and Icons will become the newest additions at Scotland's busiest airport, with work beginning later this year. 🎉 | Celebrating twenty years of United Airlines at Edinburgh Airport. Edinburgh Airport and United Airlines are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the nonstop service between Edinburgh Airport and New York/Newark. Since its launch in June 2004, the airline has carried more 2.4 million customers on nearly 17,000 flights on this route. The airline’s presence in Edinburgh has gone from strength to strength since, now operating daily year-round flights from Edinburgh to New York/Newark, with flights doubling from once to twice daily during the peak summer season 2024. Edinburgh Airport and Qatar Airways are celebrating ten years of the airline operating from Scotland’s busiest airport. The first service between Scotland and Doha, Qatar took place on 28th May 2014 with an initial five weekly flights. It was the first ever direct route between the two countries and carried nearly 90,000 passengers in the first year.
