Introducing the new season’s Nottingham Forest men's and women's teams training wear ⚽ We’re proud to announce the continuation of our partnership with the club - both with the new training wear which features the E.ON Next logo, and our work around sustainability for Forest, their fans, and the wider community. Highlights of our sustainability partnership so far include: ➡️a brand-new solar-powered Fan Zone at the City Ground ➡️removing all plastic straws, single-use cups and cutlery from the stadium ➡️a discount for supporters in the club shop if they have travelled on public transport Scott Somerville, our Director of External Affairs, said: “E.ON Next is the playmaker of the energy transition and I’m proud of all the steps we’re taking to make new energy work as part of the sustainability journey of the Forest teams, their fans, and the wider city. “As a City Ground season ticket holder myself, I’m very aware of the role that football clubs, especially Forest, have at the heart of their communities and how they can inspire people, which is why it means so much to us to help the club and to spread that message even wider.” #Playmaker #NottinghamForest #Sustainability

We’ve unveiled intentions for a multi-million-pound investment that will more than double the size of our district heating network in Sheffield. If accepted, the plans will: ➡️Install another 10km of pipeline in the Lower Don Valley ➡️Potentially tap industrial waste heat for sustainable energy use ➡️Connect new businesses and homes to a source of lower carbon, cost-effective heating We are the playmakers in creating a more sustainable UK through projects like this around the country and with Sheffield’s bold steps to become a zero-carbon city by 2030 we’re looking to expand the route of our district heat network. As part of our ongoing investment in the city we’ll also be looking to create more than 2,000 green jobs in the region as well as improving public spaces. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/evcmTNX3

We’re breaking down what an acquisition only tariff is, and why we’ve asked Ofgem to keep them banned. Acqusition tariffs are usually cheaper or better deals for only new, not existing, customers. Since April 2022, they have been banned. We want this to continue. That's why we shared an open letter to Ofgem asking them to reconsider proposals to lift the ban. Fair, affordable, and sustainable energy deals are a crucial part of the UK reaching net zero goals. We believe energy should be fair and affordable for everyone, and loyalty shouldn’t be penalised. Read our open letter through the link in comments.

We believe loyal customers should get the same value from their energy supplier as new customers.    We have joined consumer groups and a number of other suppliers in an open letter to Ofgem calling them to rethink proposals to lift the Ban on Acquisition only Tariffs (BAT). Removing this ban would bring a loyalty penalty and allow new customers only to be offered the best deals.   We do not want to see a market which discriminates against loyal customers, and neither do they: In a recent YouGov poll we commissioned, nine out of ten of our customers said suppliers should not be able to restrict their best deals to new customers.   The transition to net zero will bring long-term benefits in terms of affordability, innovation and social value, but to get there we cannot allow anything that damages trust or fairness. https://lnkd.in/e68HjBnb

This week Joanne Horton and I had the pleasure of hosting a call with the legendary Quentin Willson and Tom Arthur of E.on Drive Infrastructure. 🎉 Quentin gave our audience an excellent rundown of his Faircharge campaign: The lobbying to educate members of parliament about electric vehicles and charging 🚗🔋 Pushing back on the anti-electric vehicle rhetoric in the media, all supported by sound data, science, and fact. 📊🔬✅ The little book of EV myths produced to fight the Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt around EV’s📘 Tom was able to share how E.ON Drive Infrastructure is building a public-facing charging network across Europe: Current network size of 5000 chargers across 10 countries 🌍⚡ Providing charging for everyone, in neighbourhoods, destinations, and ultra-fast charging on the go 🏡🏢🚀 Working to ensure sites are accessible to all, including drivers with mobility issues ♿ Great to see the alignment of Quentin’s campaign and the work that E.ON is doing to provide reliable, accessible, convenient electric vehicle charging for all. 🌟 Find out more about the Faircharge campaign here: https://lnkd.in/es4V4SSH Download the Little book of EV myths here: https://lnkd.in/eP4JZDfK

We're helping to regenerate Silvertown into a sustainable community for London's Royal Docks. Working with Lendlease we're developing a pioneering low-carbon energy network. The site will be the UK’s first development using E.ON’s pioneering ectogrid™ system. The ectogrid™ system is based around the concept of sharing energy between buildings - capturing and transporting energy from where it is produced to where it is needed - which provides up to 88% lower emissions than gas boiler alternatives. The low-carbon network will serve almost 6,500 homes as well as leisure, cultural and community facilities, and workspaces. E.ON is the playmaker in making energy more affordable and sustainable. Developments like Silvertown are a critical element of growing the UK economy combined with the ambition to deliver huge societal benefits too. We are proud to contribute to this ground-breaking initiative and look forward to seeing the transformative impact of ectogrid™ in the UK! #London #Cities #ItsOnUs
