It’s been a few weeks since I stepped onsite at our project in Horndean with Highwood Group. Things are really taking shape now, and have rocketed on, well done everyone! It won’t be long now before the new residents will be enjoying their superbly equipped new properties. This Design and Build project for Dodd Group consists of a Village Core and Remote blocks, housing 69 properties with high specification finishes. This is the first of two substantial and prestigious retirement village projects we are delivering for the end client Inspired Villages . The second being a larger footprint version, but maintaining a number of the finishes due to start later this year onsite.

Our Midlands Projects team is delighted to welcome Neil Castle who has joined our Design Department as an Electrical Design Engineer.  Neil has over 20 years experience in the industry having initially trained as an electrician before progressing to engineering roles at both Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Councils.

Staff Dodd Group's King’s Lynn team have been praised by our customer Anglian Water for their heard work and dedication. Adam Footer (electrician) and Teagan Baker (apprentice) have earned praise for their efforts to get a new package screen up and running at Hitchin Sewage Treatment Works. The scope included the derivation of a new supply from the existing plant, distribution to five new control panels, plus all the supply, control and instrumentation cabling from those panels to the field. Caught between the client and their contractor, progress was frustratingly intermittent at times but our pair always did what could be done, and brought the job to a successful conclusion. In the words of Jack Griffin Anglian Water Services' Contracts Project Manager: “Thank you for your hard work and patience on this project, we know it has been difficult at times and a very challenging project overall. Adam who has been incredibly accommodating throughout this project, going above and beyond to get this project over the line.” Jack presented Adam & Teagan with a £25 Amazon gift card.

Congratulations for Alfie completing his work experience week. He enjoyed the week immensely, spending time not only with the projects team, FDIS and even had some time with Adrian Cobb the Managing Director of Defence Services. Will look smart when completed using Dulux Metalshield Primer and Gloss on the metalwork and CUPRINOL LIMITED on the Handrails and Plinths.
