In Alex Deacon's latest blog, he explores the prevalence of privacy/proxy services associated with domain names listed on abuse block lists.
Using DAP.LIVE, we found that 88% of abusively registered domain names have unavailable registration information, with 65% using privacy/proxy services and 22% having redacted details. This is a contrast to general domain registrations, where only 29.2% use privacy/proxy services.
These findings highlight the reliance on privacy/proxy services by malicious actors and the pressing need for robust policies to ensure accountability, particularly to mitigate the misuse of domains by malicious actors. Read more here:
