🌟 Highlights from Rodic's Participation in the DCW 2024 🌟 I had the incredible opportunity to represent Rodic Consultants Private Limited at Digital Construction Week in London on June 5 and 6, 2024. This event was a testament to Rodic's remarkable digital transformation journey and its growing influence on the global stage. Digital Construction Week brought together over 150 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technologies and services in the construction industry. The event highlighted promising advancements in automation, AI/ML, construction and asset management, IoT, GIS, LiDAR, and more. Rodic's presence at the exhibition provided a platform to present our digital solutions and the successful journey we've accomplished in India. A key factor in our success is "managing change" effectively, a central theme of our presentation and stall concept. We engaged with a diverse audience, including stakeholders, managers, mid and senior management, executives, professors, speakers, and students. We discussed their pain points and demonstrated how Rodic Consultants is addressing these challenges with innovative solutions. Key Takeaway: The Indian construction industry must embrace these technologies to stay competitive and drive efficiency. The future is digital, and the time to adopt is now. #DigitalConstructionWeek #Innovation #ConstructionTech #DigitalTransformation #RodicConsultants #ChangeManagement #FutureOfConstruction #London2024

For anyone interested, here is my article on the key points from my UK BIM Framework presentation at Digital Construction Week. Co-convened by WeAreNima.im and BSI, the Framework not only provides the UK approach to #informationmanagement using #BIM but also supports UK Govt. policy and its plans for the #builtenvironment. I recently attended the Digital Construction Week event in London on behalf of Trebbi Polska with Bartosz Zamara, PhD. At this event, I had the opportunity to witness the latest developments in the construction industry. While the event covered various aspects of digitalization and new software trends, AI was clearly the buzzword. Here are some key takeaways and insights on how the industry can enhance its approach to AI: 🔍 𝗛𝘆𝗽𝗲 𝘃𝘀. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 Today's AI tools are primarily examples of Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI), designed for specific tasks. Unlike the advanced AI of science fiction, these tools have limitations. For instance, ChatGPT, popular in office settings, can still make mistakes (and may try to convince you it didn't). AI marketing often exaggerates capabilities, leading to unrealistic expectations and potential safety issues. Therefore, it's crucial to approach AI with a critical eye and understand its true capabilities and limitations. ⚠️ 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 Most AI tools are machine learning algorithms that analyze data, make predictions, and assist with project management and design. While helpful, they are not infallible. Recognizing their limitations is key to avoiding over-reliance, especially in an industry like construction where mistakes can be costly and dangerous. 🛠️ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 The construction industry is traditionally slow to adopt new technologies. Comprehensive training is crucial to ensure effective use of AI tools. Workers should view these tools as enhancements rather than replacements for their skills. Proper training can bridge the gap between traditional methods and modern technology. 🚀 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 While current AI technology is narrow and specialized, its potential for advancement is significant. Promising applications in our industry include risk detection, design optimization, and enhancements in scheduling and planning. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptation, remaining vigilant, and avoiding over-reliance, the industry can successfully integrate AI into its processes. #DigitalConstructionWeek #FutureOfConstruction #DigitalConstruction #InnovationInConstruction
