Swing into summer with Derbion’s Jungle Park Aerial Adventure 🌴 From Friday 26 July to Monday 2 September, Jungle Park, will offer young explorers the chance to swing, step and scale through Derbion’s all-new treetop adventure course. For just £3.50 per ticket, children can strap into a harness and navigate our brand-new treetop circuit. Plus, smaller explorers from the age of 3 can expect plenty of fun at the Jungle Park Playground that boasts additional climbing and balancing activities. Jungle Park isn’t just about fun and adventure - it’s also about giving back to our community. We’re proud to be donating 50% of ticket sales to Umbrella Derby and Derbyshire, our Derbion Cares 2024 charity partner, which supports children and young people in Derby. Ready, set, row! 🚣 We are thrilled to announce that Derbion will be the headline partner for Derby adventurer Victor Handley's upcoming challenge to row solo across the Atlantic Ocean in what is known as, The World’s Toughest Row. Starting from La Gomera in the Canary Islands and ending in Antigua in the Caribbean, Vic’s incredible challenge is set to begin on 12 December 2024, and could take up to 85 days, depending on the weather. Derbion’s lead partnership with Vic is part of our ongoing commitment to the local community. The partnership will see Derbion branding prominently displayed on Vic’s boat, as well as Vic sharing regular video messages to the centre and shoppers throughout his adventure. We are so proud to support Vic and, along with the entire city, will be cheering him on every step of the way. We're thrilled to announce the return of our school uniform appeal in partnership with DF4TA Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance, an initiative which helps provide essential school uniform items to children in our community ahead of the new academic year. Until 25 August, families can drop off unwanted school uniform in the large donation box situated outside Sainsbury’s on Level 1. The box welcomes both branded and unbranded items in any size, including blazers, jumpers, shirts, trousers, skirts, PE shorts, and more. In addition, from 26 to 30 August, families can visit our pop-up School Uniform Hub on Level 1 outside Iceland to donate or pick up pre-loved school uniforms. We’re dedicated to supporting our local community, and this impactful initiative will make a true difference and benefit many families across Derbyshire. Books are incredibly important in helping to develop key reading and writing skills for both children and adults, so we’re proud to be supporting Derby Book Festival. On Thursday 30 May, from 11am to 4pm, families are invited to visit our pop-up reading area on Level 2 to celebrate the joy of reading through a series of free storytelling sessions. Located on Level 2, the new, enhanced store showcases an elevated store design and offers visitors the chance to discover a wider range of the brand’s iconic products. The news follows our recent announcement that three retailers, Ann Summers, JD Sports Fashion and New Look, are opening brand-new concept stores at Derbion, following a combined investment of over £5 million. JD Sports Fashion, New Look and Ann Summers are set to open new concept stores at Derbion following a combined investment of over £5 million. JD will more than double the size of its existing presence at Derbion with a new 20,175 sq ft flagship store set to open in Q4 this year. New Look will be moving to a new 15,021 sq ft store, and Ann Summers is moving to a new location within the centre, with their latest store design. The investment forms part of Derbion’s continuing growth strategy to reposition and support existing retailers alongside new lettings, unlocking space within the centre to ensure that each brand benefits from the optimum footprint and location to drive footfall and sales.
