A successful PhD at my lab sets you up for fantastic career opportunities! My past students not only learned cutting-edge skills, published their work in first-author papers at the most important AI & ML conference such as #NeurIPS, #ICML, and #ICLR, but also built invaluable networks during their time with us. With this, they move on to high profile roles in both industry and academia. Just a few examples of "where are they now?": Ahmed M. Alaa graduated in 2019 and is now a fantastic Assistant Professor in the new computational precision health program at University of California, Berkeley. Ioana Bica graduated in 2022 and now does incredible work at Google DeepMind! I still work with them regularly! See what all my past students where up to here: https://lnkd.in/eNYUds44 Want to be the next Ahmed or the next Ioana? It is with great honor that I share some joyful news – this year, I have been included in Stanford University’s “World’s Top 2% Scientists,” a prestigious ranking that features the most influential researchers across various scientific fields. This list, compiled by Stanford University, is based on data Scopus Elsevier. This significant achievement would not have been possible without the collaborative efforts of my talented colleagues, whose support has been instrumental in reaching these results. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my mentors, all those with whom I have had and continue to have the privilege of working, and to O. M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv and Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. This result would not have been possible without the exceptional support of the University of Cambridge and the members of the University of Cambridge’s Help for Ukraine programme. I also want to extend a special thank you to my colleagues who cite my work. Your recognition and attention to my research are incredibly meaningful and motivate me to continue contributing to scientific progress. May our collective efforts continue to advance science and foster mutual support within the academic community. #research, #researchimpact, #stanforduniversity
