Deeptech Labs in Cambridge and British Business Investments are to deploy £10 million to fuel the early stage DeepTech ecosystem in the UK. The funding will be allocated to invest alongside Deeptech Labs’ existing and growing portfolio. Deeptech Labs has already brought 39 companies through eight accelerator programmes to date and is seeing many of these organisations emerging as leaders in their sphere. Its portfolio will expand by 20 companies this year for a total of 48 dynamic ventures. Previous programme participants include companies such as Salience Labs, Xapien, Nu Quantum and Monumo . For its part, since it was established in 2014, British Business Investments has committed more than £3.8 billion to providers of finance to UK smaller businesses. Sam oversees the delivery of multiple Deeptech Labs accelerator programmes, ensuring high-quality execution for all stakeholders. With over 8 years of experience in the innovation ecosystem, Sam has worked across diverse sectors and for both commercial organisations and governmental agencies. His extensive experience includes building and delivering accelerator programmes in key innovation hubs such as London, San Francisco, and Singapore. Sam has supported notable clients such as British Airways, Lloyds of London, NSSIF and UK Space Agency with their innovation initiatives.
